Why can movies show girls completely naked but not full frontal male nudity? Fair?

Do any of you girls think it sucks that most movies out there show naked girls, but hardly and guy parts? I think us girls should get to see more hot guys on the big screen and less topless idiots. Does any girl out there feel the same? Where is our eye candy?

Frontal nudity on women is very different from frontal nudity on men, at least when it comes to television ratings. Usually, when women are shown completely nude on TV, it's always with a merkin on or natural pubic hair. You almost never see bare vulva being displayed. The only recent movie that I can even think of which features a bare vulva is Trance, with Rosario Dawson being the actress who makes that bold step. And she was standing up in that scene, which means you're actually seeing the tip of the iceberg, rather than the iceberg itself.

There are far more visible penises on television than there are of bare vulva. I would think that even a semi-erect or even erect penis on a naked man (on TV) would be less shocking than seeing a woman's bare vulva in complete detail (as in what you normally see in porn when there are close-ups of you know where) - although I suppose ratings-wise, they would both received the harshest rating any movie could ever get, in terms of nudity/sex.

In conclusion, male and female frontal nudity are treated differently on TV and film and the hierarchy of "shock" when it comes to nudity can be thought of as follows:

1. Bare-chested Man
2. Topless Woman
3. Nude Woman with pubic hair/Merkin
4. Nude Man
5. Nude Woman Standing with Bare Vulva
6. Nude Man with Erect Penis

One was a comedy about some friends that thought they could make money making a porno. They were struggling to pay the bills and pay the rent.

The other was a comedy about three guys who worked in a hotel as maids. The hotel was taken over by terrorists. The dick stuff served no purpose in the movie. It was actually stupid. I'll see if I can figure out the names, and post them.

Very few movies show full frontal female nudity at the level of labia flying free. It is usually the pubis and some hair with no vagina in sight and even this is not exactly something you see often in mainstream movies. Less mainstream movies have plenty more nidity including full frontal males.

On TV shows the number of full frontal dick shots is actual on the rising in pretty mainstream productions. Only some of more recent ones I can remember. Spartacus dicks all over, Altered Carbon more dicks even Game of Thrones has a few stealth dicks around.
