Girls, have you ever caught guys trying to look up your skirt, or dress, when you were on an escalator or stairway?

Is it just my imagination playing tricks on me or does this really happen?

I have noticed it more than once.

Is it safer for guys to just look away in situations like that so that girls won’t think that they are trying to get a peek if they are really not trying, or is it the girls fault for wearing a skirt, or dress, that isn't long enough?

I have also heard of guys using their cell phone cameras to try and video up girls skirts as well, but haven’t seen anyone actually doing it myself …'yet'.

But there are video's of it all over the internet... are those staged, or real?

What has been your experience with this, if any?

Yes, this happens and it happens more often than one would imagine.

I don't want to know if I was ever a victim of an attempt to peek under my skirt. Fact is that I tend to wear jeans types of clothing when I know that I will be joining a crowd or moving in an environment where people are in close quarters.

There has been this guy arrested because one of his shoe was equipped with a mini spy camera taking inconspicuous pictures of girls' underwear on an escalator. By placing the shoe on the same step as the lady ahead of him, his shoe was able to get an unrestricted view of those tender parts normally not available for public viewing.

Guys, if you read this, I would like to draw your attention that something like that will get you booked. Be wise and don't get the wrong idea. The use of those cameras for that purpose are illegal in all US states even though you can readily purchase them online. I know that the overwhelming majority of you would not dishonor a lady, would you?

I guess I had it coming. I usually wear short skirts and/or dresses. It happens a lot and not just on escalators. Sometimes, when I catch a stranger trying to get a look between my thighs while I'm seated in an open area, I'm naughty enough to uncross my legs and open them up to let him have a good look just to see if he has the guts to. Meanwhile, my "ready to pounce" husband sneaks up behind them pretending to be just another pervert. Then he yells across to me, "Open up some more honey! He wants to see more!"

Yes, it DOES happen (as do those up-skirt videos) but, as far as I'm concerned, as long as you're wearing panties, or don't care if a guy sees your goodies, there's nothing, really, to worry about. Think about it, you have NO problem wearing a thong bikini at the beach and letting EVERYONE THERE see just as much (or MORE) as a guy looking up your skirt can see in an up-skirt video... unless you like to wear skirts commando style. So, why is it a big deal if a guy going up-skirt sees your panties, but it's perfectly fine for the entire planet to see you in a bikini which covers the exact same thing? Basically, he's just taking the beach out of the process.

I have seen some guys doing this, and I think it is really inappropriate! You should be comfortable wearing what you like, and not be harassed.
But assholes will be assholes, so maybe just wear shorts under, knowing there are perverts looking, or better yet, get some shorts, or underwear made, that have something like "Fck Off Perv!" printed on them, so when they do look, they know you know, and it wrecks their picture! :)

Guys will definitely look at your legs if you're wearing a short skirt, no question. I tend not to wear them if I know I'm going somewhere on my own involving stairs/escalators. If I'm with my b/f he always stands immediately behind me (like one step behind) so it's not an issue. I don't really want men looking up my skirt if I can avoid it. I'm not that bothered about them accidentally seeing my underwear, but if there are men desperate enough to not be able to help themselves sneaking a peek, then I don't want to be the tease who puts it on show for them.

Well you know the way women wear shorter and shorter revealing clothing. Its bound to happen intentionally or unintentionally. And can we say this, it's not illegal to look. It may be disrespectful or women may feel offended but it's not illegal to look it they are doing that. If women dont like it, don't wear it. It's that simple. But I hear the argument, well women just want to be comfortable and wear what they want. Just as you are free to wear what you want, others are free to look at what you have if you choose too. Touching is a different story.

I'm not condoning or defending people that choose to do that. However, we have to get out of the mindset that if it offends you it's illegal. And trying to manipulate the laws accordingly. We end up being in a slippery slope if that were to happen. And sooner or later, it will turn into one of those oppressive countries we talk about so much. It baffles me that we have to contend with this.

Yeah, girl! It totally happens! I’ve caught some boys actually intentionally trying to stay just the right number of steps behind me so they could try to see up my skirt! I usually just hold my skirt closer to my legs so they can’t see and give them a look that says, “I know what you’re doing and you picked the wrong girl.”

Sort of related. I have a cat's instinct to look at anything that moves. One thing I've noticed when walking down the street minding my own business is that every single girl I walk behind adjusts her shirt to ensure her ass is covered. And every girl I walk head-on in front of always checks her shirt for... cleavage, maybe? Do I look like a predator or something?

I make sure to wear clothing that isn't so revealing that anyone could spot my underwear, especially if I'm going to places like these.

I can't control what people will do with their lives, but I can take actions to prevent them from getting a peak. Easy peasy.

It is rare my eyes are below waist level of someone else. On a standard escalator or stairway, the horizontal distance would make it inconvenient to look up the skirt of someone unless they are going up another flight above me.

Also, I look down generally so not likely to be an issue.

I get a kick out of catching a guy in the act, most try to look away, but I think it's kinda hot when the guy keeps looking and makes eye contact. Ok i will confess the gaze does take u there sometimes especially if u r in the mood. Like many times u don't even have to actively think about it but u get in the stream to, from where the river flows... 😛😁

Wear what your comfortable is inappropriate! Some women misuse this concept. It’s totally ok to wear bikini on the beach but it’s completely wrong wearing to go shopping in town. Not saying it’s ok for guys to try and look but at the same time a girl skirt, dress shouldn’t be very short
