Roommate leaves laundry for days?

I live in an apartment and have a “roommate.” We each have our own bedroom and bathroom, but share the living room, kitchen, and washer and dryer. We hardly talk or see each other. I tried to do my laundry Sunday, she had clothes in the washer (unwashed. Just sitting in there) and clothes in the dryer. It is now Wednesday and I have checked again multiple times since then and its all still there (washer still hasn’t been started) and I know she’s heard me check because her room is right beside the laundry room. This same exact thing happened last week and I just got so fed up with it and had to have a certain pair of pants to wear to an event so I started the washer with her clothes and took her clothes out of the dryer and dried the ones from the washer so I could do my clothes. Would it be rude if I just took her clothes out to do mine? It’s a little ridiculous that I have to do this grown woman’s laundry like I’m her mother. I don’t want to seem rude or start anything with her, but it’s annoying that I can’t even wash my clothes. I pay extra to have an apartment with a washer and dryer and can’t even use them 🤦🏽‍♀️

No it's not rude. Take hers out into a basket and do your clothes. She is obligated to do her own clothes. Don't let her make you feel bad about doing that. You share the place and you have a right to do your own things.

Take her clothes out, leave them in a basket. Wash your clothes and then out hers back in. There is no point washing her clothes and drying them because she will just leave it for you all of the time.

If i were you i would take her clothes out of the washer and dont wash her stuff because she should be doing it

Take her clothes out. It's not rude. Plus she should be the one be ashamed.

Use a bag and fill in, If you need washer or drieer and for revenge you could leave your stuff in :D
