How can I tell if I’m a orbiter instead of a friend?

I like this guy who has a girlfriend, they’ve been together for more than 2 years but he constantly talks to me. But he’s the flirting extroverted type. Girls can be orbiters too 😅. But in an unobvious case like when you’re crushing on a girl but she friendzones you, well she might have other suitors (you’re her backup option) she sees you like your brother that’s why she keeps you as a friend, otherwise you would be a nuisance to her. Doesn’t orbiter mean friend though? Just find another girl then.
