depression isn't selective on who it can effect, it doesn't suddenly go out of a group of people and go "well you're a woman and not really what i'd consider as pretty, so you can't suffer from depression..." neither does it go to what society considers as 'Pretty' and say's "well you are hot, you must have depression! or not!"
while I find you very attractive, you should not feel you have to do that to prove a point or get attention... to ensure people stand up and listen...
if you are experiencing depression personally that decision will only haunt you later down the line... but if you want to talk about your experiences then my ears are always open, just be aware that any guy who says crap like what you've described is an utter imbecile and knows bugger all about what they are spouting, and those who do know, know that they would never say anything as stupid to anyone or even think such lunacy...

I've never said girls can't be depressed, and yeah I just kind of skimped at your request but I also relate to how complements dont always help, I've lost weight, people notice and complement me but I still feel fat.

I agree. It's a cycle if you ask me. The guys promote women who string them or tease them along... which in turn promotes more teasing and stringing which leads to more guys simping (the verb form of simps).
It's been around for as long as humans have existed... they just didn't call it that in the caveman days.
My theory is that men are naturally more aggressive (and needs to be) if they want to ensure their genes survive. Women are more selective than men and tend to require men who have resources (even if women have resources of their own) and they see this as an opportunity to acquire resources (money or even companionship) without being in a relationship with someone they don't find attractive.
Both men and women are equally responsive for this behavior in my opinion.

Cause a couple of things. First off anyone can feel depressed being ugly isn't a prerequisite.
Secondly not all girls can get simps. Simps are simple people they give attention to people who post pics like what you've posted.
And finally exposing yourself to get simps attention I don't think it's healthy and won't fix your depression. Go exercise, eat a better diet, talk with friends, etc... All those have shown to decrease depression.
