Is it creepy to talk about a girl you like to mutual friends?

There is this girl I like and I think she found out that I talk a bit about her to mutual friends between us.
Is this creepy?

Depends on what you were talking about, and how often you do it.

If you are talking about her just as a friend, or telling one of your friends that you like her, and it's not every single hour every single day. You're probably fine.

If you're being gross, overly sexual, talking about them a lot like you're obsessing over them, then yeah that's pretty creepy

What happened is that I talked to her once awkwardly, and left mid-conversation due to being nervous. The next day one of her friends asked her if something happened and if I talked to her. She said “No, nothing happened, this guy just wanted to say hello to me”
