Ok so we woke up this morning and she took it upon herself to start looking up fireworks and I had no intention on going because I work. She goes you should close the store early and go and I say absolutely not and I say I’m not interested in going and she’s goes your so ungrateful and I’m like I literally didn’t ask you to look this up you took it upon yourself.

she's upset because you lack some tact...

while you in fact did not ask for it and she didn't consider the fact that you should work, and she knew this, she still made an effort to do something she thought it was nice, so you could have said something like "that's nice but you know I have to work, etcétera..." you can appreciate details and attentions, offers and invites while still decline them... you could also have said "maybe there's a chance to close up early and we might get a chance to see some, will keep it in mind" that's an example of little lies... lol.

not saying either is wrong or right, just throwing some perspective, even if you didn't ask for that and I took it upon myself to say it anyway.

Yes she has a right to be upset it’s America’s birthday The Fourth of July and you’re not paying attention to it instead you’re just working your normal hours and now you’re gonna leave her home all by herself just for her to watch it on TV that’s not good. Everyone has a right to feel their feelings I suppose. However I strongly feel she could have handled expressing them to you much better.
