When a guy compliment on my appearance, it turns me off? Whats wrong with me?

Im 32 and want to find a boyfriend or partner. Im pretty shy and lazy in socialising but when I do find a person that catches my vibe, I will talk nonstop.

I talk to some guys online, they are quite nice but once they compliment on my appearance, it turns me off so quick as I think they are just interested in my look but not wanting to get to know me further.

You are looking at this the wrong way. If a guy likes your appearance , that is a good thing. He is just saying something nice.

Thanks dear. I know im a bit weird 😅 I like compliments but once is ok for me but morr than once, it just turns me off especially when they say I am look “hot” instead of “nice” or “good looking” or other words

Well its not you, I feel the same way. Maybe we meet many guys that had always bad intentions behind those compliments and thats how we now dont take them so well.
