I feel women do enough of that I believe a guy should do some housework like laundry or do the dishes and always take the trash out.
Not unless they chose to do so willingly. Otherwise no, its not our damn job to care for people too lazy to put in effort.
No I was brought up in a family of seven (the eldest and only brother) and I was expected to muck in with the chores and cooking along with everyone else.
They should do as much as its needet.
If the man can help then he should help.
If the man is busy or not around for diferent resonable reson then the lady should.
I can happily do it why? Because I like doing it
If you don’t then don’t do it
I don’t see it as a war between f and m
Depends on so many factors. If she is staying home while he works then yes of course
Should a man be expected to protest and provide?
If i married a woman id want to know she's wife material. What she dosnt know she can learn but it's the willingness to put in her 50% that matters to me
You are just 14. The only house work expected from people of your age is keep your own room clean and sometimes fix some foos for yourself.
When you get older, live with a man, it should be equal amount of housework from both.
Whoever stays at the home most of the time should do more housework
It should be a balance of some form. An agreed upon balance of things that just need to be done.
Yes otherwise. Stay single haha people are always trying to be politically correct. Men marry the soft kind, the loving the caring and nurturing. if any female finds it hard to accept her own nature qnd feels inferior being that way. Maybe marriage is not for her.
triggered annon
Chores should be split even especially if you both work.. if you are suited to cooking more than cleaning gutters or changing shit go ahead if you the opposite do that instead
Yes, you don't even need to ask this in Asian or Eastern European Countries. The women take care of their men. That's why men are moving to the Philippines
I’m assuming you’re talking about married couples so it all depends on what both of you can agree on. If you and your husband are both working full time jobs then the housework should be split evenly.
Of course not. Both should know how to clean etc. It is survival skill. Tbh it is also unmasculine when a guy can't take care of himself. This is why men who cook etc are more masculine to me
I feel like it should be 50/50 a woman doing all the house work could lead to a lot of problems in the relationship it could even lead to divorce. I’ve witnessed this with my parents
we do what we can, whom ever has the time should do there part. that includes guys
Only if she got more free time then him. And certainly if she is a stay at home wife.
Very beautiful answer!
@Flower7 Thanks! ;)
in a relationship both should help out the best they can,,,, your there for each other
if they decided to be stay at home partner then yes. otherwise no. cause if she's a stay at home partner, that's litterally her job.
No. Cooking and cleaning are adult tasks. Everyone should be doing them.
I think responsibilities should be shared, but if the guy is trimming trees and she can't do that, she could do something else. But she could wear a sexy maid outfit, lol
*watches for any more triggered trumplets to squawk their answers*
Each person lives in the environment in which he wants to live. Normally a man has no problem living in dirt. On the contrary, the woman has them. Therefore she cleans up.
no, but, she also shouldn't not be doing any of it as well
Only if she’s a stay home wife.
If she wants to work we do it together, fairly
It depends on the dynamic, sometimes the guys do more, sometimes women do more. Ideally you guys are helping each other and making both roles easier no matter how the duties are split
If a woman wants to get a husband. Yes, she should do more cleaning, and cooking. If she has a family, then her family got to do more cleaning, and cooking
No, that’s too old fashioned. It should be split fairly evenly. Any dude who thinks he is exempt of any cooking or cleaning because he’s male is a joke of a man to me.
It is pretty sad if basic life skills are excused as someone else’s job. Agreeing on who does what is up to the couple. But for one to expect it so they don’t have to is definitely a joke tbh.
They don't have to, but I see women often placing more value on everything being very clean, if that has a higher value to someone, they should be the ones to act in order to obtain it.
If both work both should do 50 %. If man work yes she got it. If she works yes man got it all
Not an expectation but it’s a preference. My wife does all this, and I couldn’t go back tbh.
Both sexes should be capable of doing it, honestly I'm a bit lazy and would prefer someone else do the dishes, but I'm also a bit ocd and sometimes have to reclean dishes because no one else is as thorough about it.
If I wanted to be a cook and house keeper for someone else that is what I would have done
No.. but that’s because Im all about equality so I’d expect my husband to take turns or do it with me (quality time). I’m not into that type of stuff personally I just don’t see myself as a housewife.
Yes. If a girl isn't up for it, that's fine too. Not going to get into a relationship with her though.
50/50 between women and men and boys and girls.
With house work cleaning.
i hope not. My wife and i (together nearly 9 years) share the chores..
No, but I certainly wish I could find someone that would 😫
Expected? No. But I traditionally only date women that do.
It should be 50 50 a guy should do half the cleaning if your in a relationship
I think it all depends on what each person agrees to in the relationship
if she doesn't do all of this then I don't need a woman.
Yeah, only if you're able and he does other things & provides. Other than that no
Hell no. Men should always do the same amount of house chores always
I do most of the housework because I am more detail oriented then my wife
No not if you work everyday like he does now if you don't work and your home all yes you should do your part to help but other than that no
But don't complain if the guy does not clean up to your standards.
It shouldn't be "expected"
But it really depends
That’s like when my brother said cats aren’t people. No
I do most of the cleaning and cooking in my household
Depends on how much they work compared to the men in their lives.
Or do other necessary things.
At least cook more than me.
Because if I cook, you're dead.
Housework is best than working for a selfish corporate sack of shit. Far more rewarding.
You don't get paid for housework.
@Agape93 If you're smart, you can save more than you can make.
Spending twice as much money to work a job than what you can make from the job is stupid.
The majority of working women fall into this category.
Again, you don't get paid for housework at all. So you're literally gaining nothing monetarily.
Thinking it's better to work for free as opposed working and earning money is better, is incredibly retarded. Thanks for showing you belong in that camp.
Wow this is a new level in stupidity.
A wife, partner gives up their say $80k job and then does house work to be better off.
So as a couple they have a clean oven but are $80k out of pocket….
Rather than pursuing a career etc, she now moves a vacuum cleaner around the house.
Which now costs the other partner $80k for a cleaner.
Exactly. Like this level of stupid hurts my soul
@ChrisMaster69 Most women make nowhere near 80k. I think the discussion was about the majority and not the minority.
If she does make 80k she can afford a maid.
Mrs. 80K isn't really a relevant part of the discussion.
Lets hope you're back to reality with your next comment.
oh my god... that is not how it works...
That was an example you twit. Before you even try to tell anyone to stick with reality, I highly suggest doing so first.
I know right Subaru. Dudes a fucking dipstick
Most people who make only 80K can't even afford to buy a house let alone hire a regular cleaning service.
Okay Mrs $20k
I still need $20k
I am paying a housewife $20k a year
Where do I get that $20k from
Oh and by the way I scaled the money down to $80k.
The only girl I have dated earning less than that is current and she will qualify as a dentist in a few years.
The point is, giving up a job to simply clean the house is fucking stupid and only a fuckwit would even suggest it.
Exactly
@Agape93 I have not checked yet but is he American?
It seems to be a common trend
No idea, but based on the level of stupid I keep seeing from him, probably.
@Subarugirl I don't know a single women making 80k that isn't in a home. It is true that many women making good money are materialist morons that have no priorities and would rather buy an expensive car than hire a maid.
Lacking priorities is another discussion. Little Mrs. 80k can afford the maid. She simply chooses to do other things with her money.
If Mrs 80k can't afford a house she doesn't need a maid to clean one.
If 80k is so worthless then yes, she can save more than she makes by staying home.
I think you have to choose your argument here before you can make one. If 80K is so worthwhile to not give it up she can afford the maid. If it's not worthwhile she is better off staying home.
Flip flopping gets you nowhere.
Yeah he's probably American.
@Quigly are you by chance an American?
incase you aren't aware, you have to work to make money. Housing isn't free and you have to pay to have a roof over your head... staying home to clean your dishes doesn't pay the bills. You're 25 years old... I find it hard to believe that you know any single women making over 80k a year with a maid. But allow to break it down for you.
The median household gross income in the US in 2019 was $68,703
In 2019, new homes in the United States were, on average, sold for 383,000 U. S. dollars.
So let's be generous and say you qualify for a first time home owners loan at 3.25%
To afford a house that costs $383,000 with a 5% down payment of $19,150, you'd need to earn $67,864 per year before tax because lenders will to lend you money if your mortgage payment is more that 28% of your income, before taxes.
The average household spending in America is $5,005 per month. This is $60,060 per year. That leaves you with about a $7000 extra..
Maids and Housekeepers made a median salary of $24,850 in 2019. Even if you did make 80K a year, you sill wouldn't be able to afford a house keeper.
@ChrisMaster69 She has to pay daycare for the kids if she works too. That's very expensive nowadays. She has to buy her own car if she work a job outside of the home and pay insurance and taxes and maintenance. Just because you make less doesn't mean they cost less.
Most woman don't make 80k and if they did their husband would be making as much if not more. So at 160k a year they can definitely hire a maid to do housework unless they are complete morons with money and they are definitely not a part of this discussion.
.
See how he dodges the question, Chris lol
@Quigly way to just avoid... maybe go back and read that a little closer, median house hold income refers to one house hold, not individual earners.
What kids?
No one mentioned kids
She walks go work or gets the bus, pretty much every NHS hospital has a good bus service
So no kids, no car.
For a 25 yr old you really sound like a 50yr old guy.
I assume you are single?
@Agape93 Again, Buying a car, taxes, tag, insurance and maintenance and paying for child care and housecleaning services is far more than most women can make at a stupid brain dead corporate zombie job.
@Quigly how does this housewife get to the shops?
They just give the husband / boyfriend to get on way back from work?
@Quigly also I had asked are you by chance and American and one of these Republican types we here about?
it's way more than the average American family can afford, including you I would be willing to bet. Just to put this into perspective my husband and I make a total of about 120K and we wouldn't be able to afford a maid. Even if we sold out vehicles, and even if we did then how would we get to work, if we didn't get to work, how would we pay for out groceries, mortgage, health assurance, school for our son, his student debt? You obviously have no real life experience, and from the sounds of you still live with your parents and you mom still does your laundry.
@ChrisMaster69 A housewife drops the husband off at work and gets to the shops with a car or she can take the bus, she can even ride a bike if she lives close enough. A housewife can survive. They are usually the more intelligent woman compared to their working counterparts.
@ChrisMaster69 I am a free thinking American.
The day I am at work without a car is the day hell freezes over.
So my current girlfriend would give up work and drive me 30 miles to work, then drive home, do the shopping, do the house work etc, then drive back 30 miles to pick me up working on chance I finish work on time, which I rarely do. We then drive back 30 miles
60 miles in the morning and 60 miles in the evening.
Yeah that works really well.
@ChrisMaster69 wow he really thinks he's right doesn't he lmao
@Quigly oh free thinking, a Democrat then, there was me thinking you were a Republican
@Subarugirl did you Americans REALLY get a man to the moon or was it made up, I’m beginning to think the latter.
Imagine if Margret Hamilton had followed this advice …
@Subarugirl What a bunch of bullshit numbers. A maid comes by once a week for cleaning and does other homes during the week. You aren't responsible for her entire year salary. She doesn't work at your home every single day.
If both are working nobody is eating at home much.
You are a complete moron trying to muddy the the discussion with bullshit inaccurate numbers.
The average home price in America is at $200,000. New homes would be irrelevant. And this discussion is about housewives not necessarily homeowners anyway..
@Subarugirl People hire maids making far less than 120k year. You are definitely mismanaging your money. There would be no maid services if the only people hiring them were richer than 120k a year.
On the contrary, cook and prep 95% of the meals we eat. But I’ll be more than happy to show site my sources.

Why on earth would I pay someone to do what I am already doing my self?
@ChrisMaster69 No one mentioned Kids?
LMAO so you are talking about the DINKS?
( Dual Income No Kids)
Nobody feels sorry for the Dinks and their housework.
They are never home and eat out all the time.
They can certainly afford a maid if they are so pretentious.
@Quigly did you go to college, university?
@Subarugirl Average price of new homes is an irrelevant metric in the discussion. Not all homes sold are new. Why are you presenting this useless data in a discussion about housewives and housework?
@Subarugirl "Why on earth would I pay someone to do what I am already doing my self?"
Exactly, cause maid services are payed as much as $70.00 per hour and most women don't earn $70.00 per hour at their job.
Okay here is something more relevant.
The average cost of center-based daycare in the United States is $11,896 per year ($991 a month) for infants and $10,158 ($847 a month) for toddlers, according to advocacy organization Child Care Aware. If you make more than that, then it is more cost effective to work, especially since child care is tax deducible.
www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Maid/Hourly_Rate
The average hourly pay for a maid in the USA is $10.38 an, you make 15 an hour working at McDonalds where I live.
www.ziprecruiter.com/.../Hotel-Maid-Salary-per-Hour
Hotel maids come in at a whopping 14 an hour.
I work 40 hours a week and keep my house clean, and cook my own meals thank you very much
@Subarugirl Maid services pay their employees 10 bucks an hour, they charge the customer 70.00 an hour.
You are their customer, you aren't getting a maid for 10 bucks an hour. Sorry, Reality and the world doesn't spin like your numbers do.
@Subarugirl Daycare is only one metric. Add the price of a car and the cost of maintenance, gas, taxes, insurance. Add the cost of a cleaning service at $70.00 and hour.
Then subtract the cost of lost wages anytime a child gets sick and you have to take them to the Doctor or pick them up when they get sick. or anytime you get sick cause the child caught something at daycare and brought it home.
.
@Subarugirl Please cite Bureau Labor and statistics for your wage data. Not some propaganda site on the internet.
@Quigly did you go to college?
it was cited on the website if you bothered to even check. Ziprecruter used Data used to develop this report includes ADP data. ADP is an exclusive provider of employee payroll data for ZipRecruiter.
Did you got to college?
@Subarugirl LoL... The Bureau of labor and statistics is far more comprehensive and accurate than zip recruiter.
Did you not learn anything at college?
You do a really good job at avoiding questions...
Than why don't you cite Bureau of labor statistics?
@Quigly did you go to college?
@ChrisMaster69 Yes, I have an education.
@Quigly avoidance,
Did you go to college, YES OR NO
@Subarugirl I am answering questions from three people.
You do a really good job at mischaracterization.
@Subarugirl Why can't you defend your own arguments?
I’ll make it simple for you then, did you go to college?
@Subarugirl I have already answered that question. Stop repeating yourselves.
Then answer the question. Did you go to college, YES OR NO?
@Quigly let’s try a different Yes No.
Are you Straight Yes or No?
Just a check to see if you understand the concept of Yes / No answers.
@Quigly I’m still waiting for you to answer Chris’s question.
He won't give it most likely. Dude took 4 days to respond in general
@Subarugirl I answered Chris's question. After answering Chris's question he claimed "Avoidance" Cause he and you are both Frauds.
@Agape93 Some people have lives. You obviously don't have a life and still live in your mom's basement. This explains your lack real world experience and connection with reality.
@Quigly
You never, you fail at basic tasks,
Asking again….
Are you Straight Yes or No?
Just a check to see if you understand the concept of Yes / No answers.
@Quigly answer the question
@ChrisMaster69 I gave a straight answer in the format you requested. You claimed it was "avoidance" cause you're scared to face reality and like an Ostrich you stick your head in the hole to hide.
Runaway scared little bird.
@Quigly it’s a simple yes or no question
@Quigly copy and paste the bit with DTG where you gave a SIMPLE yes or no
@Subarugirl Get your head out of the hole and you can see the answer Ostrich.
Lmfao this dude is slow as hell
He can't even answer a basic question
@Agape93 Such fraud, your entire life is a lie.
A little lazy feminist loser.
An undeveloped mind that can't keep up in the world.
Mentally bankrupt and can only repeat the same exposed lie over and over.
And you still can't answer a basic question over the course of a week.
@PrettyPriya this is what a lack of education looks like hon lol
Maybe if you should just answer the question
@Subarugirl I already answered the question.
No you didn’t you avoided it. Yes or no?
I mean women have evolved to do housework so yes, probably.
I think Females do enough Housework, But us Guys are just less likely to enjoy doing Housework.
Yes women should do more. In fact they really should do all of it. Men dont do that stuff.
No, females should never be expected to clean/cook/do housework.
Well housework as in like cooking meals or just vacuuming when your parent asks you?
Everyone should pitch in don’t make work a gender thing
