I wore a bodysuit and a minni skirt and some over the knee high heel boots, and my grandmother was appalled when she saw a picture of me wearing that outfit. When she told me that I looked like a hooker, I gave her the biggest smile and said "Thanks! That's what I was going for." Then I skipped away. ... She doesn't like me very much. 🤣

I was told to dress better, in a different way. I was told to dress more immodest and revealing lol.

I dress more on the conservative side most of the time, but every once in a while OMG, the hem line and bust line comes up or down like 2 inches but nothing you would ever say see at a club...so I decided to wear the LEAST scandalous lower cut sweetheart top ever to dinner with my parents and my mom practically implied I was some kind of slut and that guys would just be staring at my chest and treating me like a piece of meat. She and I have battled it out for years over my wardrobe choices and I'm telling you, no one would ever describe me as dressing slutty but she's an older mom who grew up very conservatively and she still thinks women should be rocking turtle necks and not showing ankles or something. This day was my final straw and I had had it and I knew I was right because my dad didn't get involved in the argument...I told her I'm literally not a kid anymore and I'm sick of it, and I am going to wear whatever I want to wear, deal with it. Same thing with her parents church who still believes in 2022, that women should only wear dresses and skirts to church. I. WORE. PANTS. I could literally feel the judgement from them all walking in, but like, are you kidding me...I'm not going backwards for some church I don't even attend and whose ancient rules on women I don't ascribe to. If they don't like me, they are welcome to throw me out...but of course, how would that look...so....
My boss called me into his office and told me I had too much boob one day, I was wearing a cotton single under a suit jacket.. it didn’t seem like too much boob to me.. or anyone I asked later because I was worried.
i just told the boss ‘oh I’m sorry, I’ve had to learn to live with my body so I probably don’t find it as offensive as you do. “Yes a good few times.
In Air Force, they would get upset if wearing shorts at dinner.
i have worn Goth type stuff when out and been told / asked to get changed.
a night club would not a group of us in as we all had kilts on, sorry, they would not let the guys in, the girls could go in, guys were told no kilts and wear something decent (proper, meaning trousers). It was not actually against their rules but they decided we could not go in.I've had people say straighten your tie and feminist wackos that wanted me to wear a pink tie or pink shirt for some feminist/communist holiday that I don't recognize. It goes in one ear and out the other. It pretty much like they don't even exist... Say whatever you want, you have freedom of speech, you're also powerless to change anything.
No, because I always like to dress properly. And I also agree that people shouldn't dress too trashy or skimpily. In some places you just can't like dress code restaurants but even generally out and about. Just because you're free to do something it doesn't mean you should.
Oh the “let me dress like a whore” teach men not to have natural human responses to a female exposing herself trope.
Women are told to dress better because women are the ones who expose themselves for attention.
I would never be told to dress better because I have dignity, and self respect.I live by a simple rule: I don't accept criticism from people I wouldn't ask for advice. Most people who say stuff like that are just generally negative people. I might be biased though since, as you know, I really like your style
No, because I have something called self respect. Something these liberally dressing individuals don't have yet will claim to have.
I work in retail. I see enough women who come into the store to shop dressed very scantily. I served a woman yesterday. Her skirt was too short, her blouse too tight and her thigh high stockings visible.
No one ever told me to put on something more decent, because I don't wear revealing clothing that shows off anything.
Also why are there still women who think male arousal is thought based? It's not, It's a sight and touch based reflex.Yes but not in a sexual way. I tend to dress very casual.
Never, but wear what you want, forget others opinions, if you like it that then 4get what anyone says.
