What would you do if a girl you were seeing yelled out in public "You are gay!" before storming off?

A girl you've been talking to is out walking on campus. She looks a little upset, so you try walking up to her to find out what you can do to make her feel better. She yells out loudly "You are GAYYYYYYHHHH!!!" before storming off. What would you do in this situation?

I'd go hide; but if you attempt to approach a girl and without justification she quickly yells, "Leave me alone," that is just as embarrassing. That or similar is what far too many young women do. That is why, in our society, it is risky to approach any girl unless she first says "Hi" and smiles or otherwise indicates her willingness to be approached.

Well, I wouldn’t be seeing her anymore. That’s for damned sure
