Why won't he talk about the girl he's seeing?

This guy who would flirt with me a lot and got upset when he ran into me and saw me at a speed dating event, I found out has been on like 5 dates with a girl. We were leaving class the other night and our classmate was asking him about it. He was really evasive, didn't want to answer questions much, and kept looking at me. He kinda said how the girl plans most but he has to pay, again he was super quiet about it. Then as we all got in the elevator and jared ( the guy's name), kept asking him more questions he immediately changed the subject and looked at me. Then this morning he came to school with sushi he had made last night. He just said "oh yeah we made sushi" and my classmate said, " oh a date?" The guy stayed quiet, and he said, " or with friends?" and then he said " yeah". I don't understand why this guy is so quiet and evasive around me with questions about who he is seeing. Thoughts?

He likes you, and doesn’t want you to know about the others because he’s trying to stay available to you. Also why he was upset to see at speed dating, because on some level he’s like, but I’m already right here for you…

He probably doesn't like that you are eavesdropping on his conversations.

I actually wasn't. I have 3 classes with him at school and the guy was asking him this question as we were sitting in class. Also, I was at the elevator first to go down to leave school for the day when him and the other guy got on. So I wasn't eavesdropping in on anything.

Wow, just happened to be right there each time eh? Yeah he doesn't want to say anything because he knows you are right there listening. (even though you aren't eavesdropping) And how do you know he was 'upset' at seeing you at some event? He tell you that?
