I think society and movies have made it so they feel like every woman deserves a prince charming.

Women seldom use the same logic you and I do. They use "women logic". Which gives heavier weight to their feelings. It's the same reason why they choose dubious men and after it crashes and burns they keep giving him another shot. Because their feelings override their logic. It's also why they think they have a shot with a guy they have no business being with.
