Why does my friend have low self esteem?

It’s so weird because we both dated the same douche bag and she has so low self esteem and dates losers low key and I don’t understand why she has everything anyone could ever want
she’s gorgeous she’s blonde and light skin (Mexican tho ) she’s talented ( sings better than any artist out there today ) she should be famous she’s so talented
she’s skinny looks young and youthful body perfect clear skin also has tons of friends. Most importantly a loving family and support system both parents and grandparents been together forever ber parents and grandma still alive loving and cooking for her. I don’t get it she’s wayyyy more well off than a lot of people. She’s not wealthy but her parents take care of her through nursing school.

I have low self esteem too but for a reason. Like I hate a family who told me I was shit never gonna be shit and grew up poor etc etc am bi racial Mexican and black.

I don’t understand her reasons how do I help her?

Well, does she want to be happy? Is she being shouted out about her privilege all the time so she feels the need to go below her station? Self-esteem isn’t always tied to reality, if it were most of society would be vastly different and the many industries that try to make girls have self-loathing issues in order to get them to throw money at pre-positioned ways to fix that would cease to exist. You might try putting her in situations or challenges that aren’t necessarily romantic or social in order to help build general confidence which is a skill transferable to all areas of life.

I think she needs to aspire and achieve, doesn't need to be big, but do something that she'll be proud of. This should help her self-esteem knowing she can accomplish things.
Tell her to respect her own efforts no matter how small.

Sounds like she had a trouble past
