Maybe, but maybe not. I was with a guy that didn't treat me well, not quite to her level, but I had 'rose coloured glasses' on in the relationship. I was blinded by the fact that I was with a guy as gorgeous, funny and popular as he was. I didn't have low self-esteem, I was just excited that I was with a guy I had dreamed about dating throughout my teens. But he was nice like only 60% of the time. It wasn't until after it ended that I realized how much better off I was without him.

If he was as nasty as her Id leave. But maybe your friend is also blinded, or has 'rose coloured glasses on'.

In many big cities a car can be an expensive pain in the ass.
Parking, traffic, congestion.
I dated a girl that lived in Chicago.
At first I thought it was odd, but after she explained it to me it made sense.
If she needed a car she could borrow or rent one.
