What does it mean if a girl leaves you on read but still follows you?

Like, let's say a girl leaves you on read twice in a row (twice in 7 days)? Why would a girl still follow you if she leaves you on read/ghosts you?

In my case, I don't post anything (no posts, no stories). We were online friends and we've decided to follow each other on our social media accounts. So she literally only follows me to keep in touch (since I don't post anything).

So why is she still following me (if she's left me on read twice)?

That was literally 4 days before she stopped replying to my messages. Nothing much happened between those days. So why did she cease contact? I'm so confused.
