Girlfriend won't give me space during my exams?

I'm a grad student, currently writing finals.

When i tell her I need to study she gets all defensive and sad, and makes me feel bad for having to do my course work.
When I do go over to "study' she isn't very considerate of it; talks not stop, plays shows, pulls me from my laptop.

What does this tell me about her in the future?
I only have a week of finals left, but it's really hard to focus feeling like I'm disappointing her

Talk to her and make it clear if she doesn't respect the fact that you need to study for your finals as they are really important to you than continuing the relationship will not be option as she is disrespecting your space and something that is important to you

Your not disappointing her it sounds more like she is being super clingy and in a way wanting your attention all the time. If she can't understand you need space and you do need time for studying than she is being a bit selfish

If she can’t understand that I think it says more about her than you.


Do what you need to do to be successful. The best you can do is explain & move on from there.
