Girl I work with won’t give me space I want to be nice about it?

I like her. She’s a nice person. But it’s every two seconds she comes looking for me. Which I don’t mind a little bit I enjoy talking. But it’s not for work related reasons and even on the busiest of days it’s putting me behind.

I want to be nice about it. But I feel bad but it’s starting to drive me crazy. How can I politely ask her to give me some space and let me work

Here's what I would suggest man:

Next time she comes by when you're busy, just say something straightforward like "Hey, I appreciate you stopping by, but as you can see I'm slammed right now. Do you mind if we catch up later when things slow down here?"

Keep it casual and lighthearted, with a smile so she knows you're not upset or anything. Just setting a boundary that you need to focus when it's busy.

Then when you get a break, go find her and be like "Alright, it's not so hectic now. What's new with you?" That way she still feels like you wanna chat, just not constantly interrupting your workflow.

You could also say something general like "From now on, if I'm in the middle of something, I may need to finish up before talking, just so I stay on track here. Hope you understand!"

As long as you're polite about it, I don't think she'd take offense. And she seems nice, so hopefully she'd respect your space better once she knows it's helping you do your job better too. Let me know if that approach works out well man!

It’s not. I just don’t want to be rude or get her into trouble. It started off fine. But she’s just getting more and more invasive.
