Very hot and cold behavior from girl I have a crush on?

Hello,

There is a girl I have been working with for like a year now who I have a crush on. Over this year we have had SOME amazing days with great warm vibes, where she remembers all sorts of little things about me from the past, we are smiling laughing back and forth and having so much fun. She has also said a few times I'm cute and make the other girls fall in love.

Other days are neutral

Other days (more so lately) she is VERY cold and unresponsive and basically treats me like a complete creep or a loser she needs to brush off and give the emotional stiff arm to when I even try to make casual non chelant conversation with her.

Then the next time we work she's back to being warm and pleasant with me.

an important fact I might add is that a number of girls have crushes on me at this job (two of her work friends do) I mention this because its hard for me to believe she views me as completely worthless and unnattractive romantically but it really really feels like that some days

... im beyond confused about it. Have any of you treated a guy like this, and if so what was the thought process or situation behind it from your perspective.

I have done this before nearly 5 years ago and I am not proud of it. I have had a guy friend reveal his feelings for me and I did not know how to handle it. I had no idea how to process it at the time. I will admit, I am very emotionally and romantically inexperienced and do not know how to properly be in a relationship and so I got scared. It takes me awhile to build up trust and feelings for a guy and that wasn’t his fault and I feel like I handled it poorly. He still chose to talk to me after that for another like 3 years, God bless his soul lol. I definitely didn’t expect that nor deserve it.
By the time I finally realized I might have reciprocated feelings (and stopped being stupid and in denial) the dude moved on, as one would expect!

I don’t know what to really tell you dude. Girls are like very confused, moody cats that can take some time to build up trust around. Who knows what internal battle she is dealing with. Sometimes you just have to be patient, but that is totally up to you to decide on whether she is worth it or not.

Most of the time, crushes are one-way streets and seldom reciprocated. Consider it to be that way and I personally would not insist and move on.

Her reaction could be the one of a person that is playing with your feelings but also has a certain jealousy because of other girls paying attention to you. There is perhaps a kind of a competition between the girls at work and when she realizes that the other girls are obviously getting your attention, she is acting cold towards you.

Best in those cases is to not let those things impress you because romantic affairs at work are a total no-go. You experience it yourself how it can create tensions at work and the work climate is not the best.

Ignore her (and the other girls) and just do what you were assigned to do by management. Never involve feelings at work. Bad idea.
