I know people who do this, they consider any favour they ask for to be a subtraction from the quality of their social relationship and they would rather subtract that value from a friendship that they view as less consequential to their future by burdening the distant bystander with their needs, than go to a person they might view as more important to their life, and burdening them with their issues, since the consequences of a burdened relationship are more invasive and last longer if they go to somebody close to them that they have to see everyday with their problems.

It sounds like to me your first impression is correct as it relates to orbiters. She may also feel uncomfortable telling her current boyfriend. She could be trying to get into your head too. Maybe, she trusts your insight but this seems unlikely to me.

To me Orbiters describe both the Girl and Guy. Girls orbits around the guys brain and psyche owning a piece of him. The Guy, holding onto that piece of himself that hopes, orbits her too. The girl is manipulating and the guy is hopeful and ultimately manipulated.

Some women like to know they are inside a guy's head. Just the way some women like overt attention. The inside of your head girls can look at your eyes and know you think of her and it meets her needs.-Narcissists are like this... NOT saying she is one !!! These girls may never say a word to you.
