You just lack awareness. Decisions should take into account caution but wise caution not the caution most people use which is just negative thinking.

There isn't much extra you need to know about the world, the problem is almost everyone knows nothing about themselves. And I don't mean the self you think is you.

That's the only problem I've noticed. It's ignorance.

Perhaps, you like to believe the good in everyone. Nothing wrong with that, it's a good quality as long as people are decent and don't take advantage of it.

Happens all the time, some people lie really well (chronic), and sometimes you just believe them because it seems like a positive thing they did. You are naïve that the person is lying to you as everyone else may see through it, but, you believe the person is doing some good and give them the benefit of the doubt. Kind of the glass half full thing.

I can be a little neglectful on the decision making... relating to consequences. Apparently I don't use my brain.. nor pay attention

In what way? Because it could be you're just trusting. It could also be you're just stupid. Some women like playing the victim. Given your age the latter is more likely. But since I don't know you I'm not going to just make that call.
