Why do people put their parents in care homes and steal their money?

People these days are cold and ruthless when it comes to money. They will sue for almost anything.

Now put that into the context of a woman who no longer loves her husband and is divorcing him. She will very coldly take everything she can from him for her new life even if she has a good paying career. She will keep as much custody of the kids as she can because more custody means more child support. Alimony is really an American thing but seemingly a wide divorcing her husband here feels entitled to his earnings for as long as he lives.

Modern people are immoral. People have this logic now that tells them regardless of who they hurt or what they do is justified because they felt like it. Nobody considers how they would feel if the same was done to them. All the old virtues are gone.

You also have to be smart about that if you realize that and are considering marriage. Like I knew pretty early on I wanted a family, and that for all it's faults, the US is a pretty safe place to raise one.

The state I'm in has pretty low drug use, no alimony, and child support is based off income. Though there is no fault divorce, it takes a year to get one, so both parties have to think long and hard before pulling that trigger.

Alimony differs state by state, country by country, also whether it's there or not to begin with. If you're stuck somewhere with alimony, and don't have a strong desire for kids, maybe don't get married to begin with.

Don't blame the player, blame the game. All the time the law allows it, lawyers will encourage it as they get their cut. And to be fair, if you were told you could something for nothing wouldn't you?

If theycare divorcing for alimony then by default they married for money. Our fucked up family court system incentivizes them to do this.
