Why would a woman check up on a guy?

There's a woman I cut contact with a few months ago. Recently she contacted me again to check up on me. We weren't close enough to be considered friends so I don't really understand why she would contact me. I'm not complaining, I just find it strange, I know she's a busy woman but she left me on read when I tried to start a conversation with her after contacting me again. The reason I cut contacts with her (which was respectfully) was because she wasn't very good at conversations. I assumed she was a bad texter cause she never opened up. I got tired of putting in the effort of keeping the conversation alive. her reappearance after months has me confused. Any logical reasons on why she'd contact me again?

It's a natural response to you going no contact - which I know you didn't do to get her to respond, but it happens anyway if you go silent in someone. She noticed you haven't spoken to her anymore so that made her think about you and what to see what's up. I understand your frustration with it being a one-sided exchange, and you don’t have to keep it going if you don't want.

Nah bro I'm a confrontational person. I legit told her I was cutting contact with her and that there's no issue. and Its just a decision I decided to make and she was fine with it and we went our own ways lol

I see. Well, maybe she thought reaching out again would make you change your mind. Or the reason she was so few of words when you used to talk was because she was already talking to some other guy, and now they're not anymore and she thought she could try to talk you up now. Not sure.

Could be that if she was talking to another guy before, that he came back and she wanted to talk to him again. But honestly, any time you're getting wishy washy behavior like that from someone but especially a girl, just keep that door closed on her and keep moving. You're looking for someone consistent, not a girl who's quiet one day but then hopes you talk the next.
