What’s the deal with hot and cold women?

I’m an elementary school teacher in Texas. I’m the only male at my campus. These female teachers crave attention one minute and are receptive to it and then act completely indifferent the next. What causes this? The same women cycle back and forth too. It’s really odd for her to be open one minute and then treating me like a creeper the next (again, these women go back and forth between these moods). Insecurity? Some kind of competition since I’m the one man?

I wouldn't take it too personally, man. Girls can be confusing sometimes.

A few possibilities for the hot/cold behavior:

- Hormones/emotions - You know how girls get sometimes, emotions all over the place. Could explain mood swings.

- Testing boundaries - Sometimes they act interested to see if you'll come on strong. Then don't like it if you do. Kinda playing games.

- Other guys - Might be talking to someone else too, so their attention shifts. Or they're competing against each other.

- Your approach - Could be coming on too strong at times making them uncomfortable. Or not strong enough other times. Balance is key.

My advice - don't stress it too much. Do your thing either way. If they're feeling you one day, be cool with it. If not, back off politely till they come around again. Don't chase too hard. Also don't get in trouble at work - keep it professional most of the time. Girls will respect a guy who's fun but still in control, ya know? Stay smooth.
