Am I right to feel annoyed by these comments?

I went to a family gathering the other day and then I found I was getting weird vibes from my aunt in law. As soon as she saw me she looked me up and down from head to toe in a judgmental way and then I started talking about the fact that im worried about turning 29 soon. And then she said “when I was your age I’d already had two children and then I had my third child at 33”

Then later on she came up to me again and started talking to me about my sister who has been in a long term relationship. She said “who is your sister who has the boyfriend?” She and her boyfriend have been going out for AGES now” and kept making reference to that.

I came out a toxic relationship years ago and I feel happy being single and I’m content on my own, but for some reason after these comments I feel like I’m. A loser because I’m 29 and single

Am I right to feel annoyed by this or am I just being sensitive?

Sounds like she's just from another time... The things she described to you were the normal viewed ways of 50 years ago.. definitely interesting to see and things like breakups were not common at all.. once married they basically stayed that way.

Not sure of her age but I'd say those who are 60 and above this definitely applies to or she has the old fashioned morals

I wouldn't take it personally, she just hasn't kept up with a evolving society
