Why do girls want to have "some" control of the relationship?

My current girlfriend wants to have "some" control in the relationship, such as going out whenever she wants, having male "friends", and wanting me to cook for her for everything.

So I bluntly told her "no" to ALL OF THAT. Simply because I pay ALL the bills/groceries, etc. I also own the entire house. Then she withheld sex from me until I "give" her some control.

So I threatened to kick her out of my house and end the relationship... that's when I learned she had nowhere else to go...

After that, she started having sex with me again, but it begged the question, why would she expect control when she got nowhere else to go; knowing she would be homeless?
