Gave a Fast Food employee my number but my friends says I shouldn't have?

There was this really cute girl at the register. I complimented the first time I went there and said she was pretty. She said thank you and I did my order.

I went in again like a month later not expecting to see her. I was sitting directly behind her and she had a one piece key chain. So I said "Excuse me, I like your Luffy keychain". She turned around and said thank you and told me she has a Zoro keychain in the front and showed me. I asked her how far she's gotten in One Piece and we talked about it for a sec. She told me she named her dog after a one piece character and that her favorite anime is one piece. She asked me if I watched anime and I said of course and told her look at my shirt. I was wearing a manga shirt. We continued talking for a bit and I told her she had a really pretty smile. She said thank you and I was gonna make her blush. She said she's gonna go take her lunch break and I said okay. Then after 5 minutes, I wrote down my name, instagram, and number and walked over to her. I told her I wasn't gonna bother her on her break but if she ever wants to talk about One Piece or any other anime, here's how to reach me. She said thank you and I walked away

My friend said that though my intentions were good, you don't ask a girl out while at their job as it can come off as creepy and now she probably is stressed having to worry about a random guy who could bother her on the job and that I should not go back to that place for a while to prevent her from being anxious.

I'm not gonna be upset if she doesn't reach out but did I do anything wrong?
