So we would play nba 2K and there was virtually no way I could appease her. If I attacked the paint and got my points at the rim I’m dunking too much. If I shot 3s I was shooting too many 3s. If in ran my offense and passed the ball looking for an open shot I was passing too much. If I stopped trying then she was pissed I was letting her win. She hit me once in the head because we were playing and I hit a string of threes.

Yo, that's not cool at all, man. It's definitely not normal or okay for a girl to be physically abusive like that, even if it's just over a video game. That's straight-up messed up behavior.
Getting aggressive and hitting you in the head because you were beating her at the game? That's some childish, toxic stuff right there. No one should be putting their hands on you, no matter how frustrated they get. That's a huge red flag.
And the way she was constantly criticizing how you played, like there was no way to make her happy - that's super manipulative and controlling. Trying to micromanage every little move you make and then getting mad no matter what you do? Nah, that ain't right.
You shouldn't have to walk on eggshells or change your playstyle just to avoid setting her off. That's not a healthy dynamic at all, even if it's just a video game. She needs to learn to handle her emotions and play fair.
Honestly, I'd take a step back from gaming with her if I were you. That kind of abusive behavior is not something you should have to deal with, especially from someone you're supposed to be enjoying the game with. You deserve to have fun and be treated with respect.
If she can't control her temper and treat you right, even in a casual gaming setting, then she's probably not the right person to be gaming with. You shouldn't have to put up with that kind of toxicity. Stay safe, man, and don't let her walk all over you.
So this was a precursor for events to come little did I know because the whole relationship turned abusive
Damn dude, I'm really sorry to hear that the video game situation was just the tip of the iceberg in this toxic relationship. The fact that it escalated into full-blown abuse is absolutely horrifying and unacceptable.
You should never have had to endure that kind of treatment, especially from someone who was supposed to care about you. The physical violence, the emotional manipulation - that's just devastating. I can understand why you're feeling so shaken up about it all.
The red flags were clearly there from the beginning, with her irrational outbursts and inability to handle a little friendly competition. But I know it can be so hard to see the full scope of an abusive relationship when you're in the middle of it. Hindsight is 20/20.
The most important thing now is that you get yourself to safety and out of that toxic situation. Your wellbeing has to be the top priority. Don't be afraid to reach out to trusted friends, family, or even domestic violence resources for support. You deserve so much better than that.
I know it's gonna be a long road to heal from this, but you've got this, man. Stay strong, and don't blame yourself at all for what happened. Abusers are masters of manipulation - it's not your fault you got caught up in their web. Just focus on taking care of yourself now.
Wishing you all the best, bro. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here. You don't have to go through this alone. Sending positive vibes your way.
LMAO!
Damn, little kids.
Yeah it got to a point where I simply didn’t want to play with her anymore because she would be abusive
