My wife and I live at the top of a 1/2 mile driveway, so we don't get many unexpected visitors.

I would look out our front windows for a car, then look to the side toward our porch to see who it is.

If they look safe, I would answer. If they look sketchy (which has never happened), I would have my Sig P-220 handy.

If I hear the door and don't have my gaming headset on then sure, why not? Unless I'm in the middle of a match or something in one of my games, then I ignore it.
