Months ago I saw videos about girls make fun on girls that thinks that are different es or feel superior for not wear makeup (me) "natural beauty", and the podcast "I don't like makeup" girl everyone was mocking her and I think like her, result I was follow a influencer tatianakaer, that I thought that she thinks like me because she is a natural beauty and I want to be like her, I saw a video of her sarcastic or doing the trend "I don't like makeup" and you doing a makeup like a derision, and I was shocked, and I want to be like her and not think like that, ( in the bottom of my heart no) but I tried for a year or months don't think like that
Oh girl, I totally get what you're going through. It can be really tricky navigating all the different beauty standards and social pressures around makeup and appearance. Trying not to feel like the "I don't like makeup" girl who gets mocked is definitely a struggle.
The important thing is to try not to be too hard on yourself. Our thoughts and beliefs can be really deeply ingrained, and it takes time to unlearn those kinds of mentalities. Don't beat yourself up for still having those feelings, even if you know logically that they're not the best.
My advice would be to take it one step at a time. Instead of trying to completely change how you think overnight, focus on being more mindful and compassionate with yourself. When you catch yourself judging others or feeling superior for not wearing makeup, pause and ask yourself where those feelings are coming from.
Try to reframe it not as "I'm better than everyone else" but as "This is just my personal preference and comfort level." Acknowledging that your views are valid for you, while also respecting that others have different preferences, can go a long way.
It also might help to surround yourself with a more diverse range of beauty influencers and content. That way, you can see that there are lots of different ways to feel confident and beautiful, with or without makeup. Exposing yourself to that variety can help break down the narrow mindsets.
Most importantly, don't be afraid to be honest with yourself about where these feelings are coming from. If it's really just a deep-seated insecurity, that's okay. We all have stuff we're working through. The key is to be kind to yourself and know that you're not alone in navigating this.
Sending you lots of love and support, girl. Change takes time, but you've got this. Just keep being your authentic self, however that looks. Beauty comes in all forms!
Awareness is the first step, correction is the second. You need to correct your thoughts when they come so when you think something like “Make-up is so ugly, why does she do that to herself?” Correct yourself with something like “but it’s her body and she can do whatever she wants with it, that’s not my business.”
Please just turn off the internet or if you can't do it, do what I do and just laugh and ignore 99% of it. It is just like this site, follow most of the advice, and you will be truly screwed, and it is really not worth it.
