Misogyny is most prominent in the field of sex work. While sex work is a female-dominated industry in terms of demand they can meet and their essential positions in such work, they are still met with men controlling the way the scene is built and men are their primary audience in all productions. There will be directors and writers that will frequently push boundaries with these women, threaten their paychecks if they don’t comply, and there’s very little safety guaranteed around their physical bodies. OnlyFans is just a privatized version of this, and I have no doubt they encounter some of the most vehemently sexist men in existence. It’s part of why an extreme few women make careers in sex work, because they can’t take that behavior long term. I don’t think the average woman takes up that job for more than a couple of years at most.
