Why does my mood change with the weather?

Today was nice and sunny and warmer than it’s been. Then a stupid cloud blocked the sun and it got a little dark and my enthusiasm immediately left. Then the sun came out again and my enthusiasm came back. It happens a lot to me. I’m always happier when it’s sunny.

Sunlight directly affects mood, as well as cold, and heat. It usually goes well with the effect it has on your body. Sun helps with vitamin D for bones, hair, nails and immune system. It's also psychological, if the weather matches what you like, you're in a good mood, and vice-versa.

You like the sun, so you're happy when it's there, and not happy when it's not.

I don't like it, so I'm not happy when it's there, and happy when it's not.

Most humans like sunlight as it affects their circadian rhythms. (the wake-sleep cycle) When you don't get enough sun, this can lead to depression and sunlight also helps your body create Vitamin D, which is essential for health.

This is why there's so much depression in the high northern climes of Sweden, Russia, Norway, Finland. Very short days even in the longest days of summer.

Pretty normal from what I gather. Usually happens in winter and early spring when it's dark and cold. Basically you enter like a depression or something

There is a thing called third eye. It's when you get your internal clock switched. It makes people lean more to being a night owl vs morning person. You obviously do not sound switched but if you are that easily affected it's something to ask about.
