Does English🇬🇧 weather bring your mood down?

I live in the "warmest" part of the UK (SE England) and summers here reach a high of only 24°C. There's hardly a week without a day or two or rain. It's breezy, it's cool. Also British waters are exceedingly cold and not very pretty.

I guess that's why my people emigrate, and have been emigrating for decades and centuries.

last year the south east was getting over 30c

which was same as up in Coningsby in lincs

To put this into context for non British, the east of the country meets the north Sea which tends to be cold and gray, the west coast is a lot warmer and usually crystal clear or with green tinge as in the photo during the summer

Average sea temperature in summer is around 16 to 18 °C in summer on the west and about 12 - 14 on the east. Its about half that in march.

Beaches in the UK like anywhere vary a lot from white sand to shingle to rocky and can be anything from picturesque to complete shitholes. Some are quiet even in summer others overcrowded

However I agree, a long spell of bad British weather does drag people's mood down particularly in rural and coastal areas where there's not much to do when it's pissing down or when it hits at the wrong time of year and spoils summer.

I don't remember it having that effect on me... I also was in that area (Brighton, Hastings) twice and liked the weather. Then again, all my UK visits were during spring or summer time.
