So, I just realised that some of my long-term female friends hate women who are more successful than them and even though we're long-term friends they can hate me for my success even.
Recently some of us took a difficult exam and two people qualified it– me and a guy from our class. Despite being friends with me most didn't congratulate me. I was fine with it. However later I saw a social media post of that guy on the same topic and these same people are so excited to congratulate him there! They've written long paragraphs and reassured him that they always knew that he was smart. This reminded me that once at school I had topped my class and some of my female friends chose to rather consider the person who came second to be the topper as that person was a guy. And no, it's not their hatred for me specifically, I have realised that such people are usually very critical of women in general. Yes, I'll probably cut my ties with them but I'm really curious to know what you all think about this issue. I know tons of women as well as myself who love celebrating successful women. Their behaviour really feels so weird to me!

W out reading the whole thing, I’d say get rid of them. If you want to be successful then you need to surround yourself w other women who are the same. I don’t care if they’ve been childhood friends or what. They should be happy for their friends, not jealous. Women tend to hate on a lot of things other women do. There’s no real girl power let’s support each other. I think they’re worse than men.
You realize that they aren't really friends and are stuck in childhood. Then you find a new group.
Yesss envy is real. Protect yourself. Power to u girl
