Why would a black girl get so much hate for being herself?

Why is it called "self-hate," "acting white," or "wanting to be white" when a Black girl isn’t loud, ratchet, or ghetto, doesn’t twerk, is very quiet and shy, doesn’t drink or smoke, and is a loner or homebody? Why do some Black people say that’s not normal and want her to change?

I'm not sure to be honest. This is pretty messed up. It's ridiculous that they're associating yourr being shy and a homebody with being white.

Fuck 'em. You can't let that bullshit get to you. Because it's bullshit. It's ridiculous. Who are these people? The arbiters of blackness? This is a difficult thing for me to even picture. I can see someone being teased for being shy. But to make it a "self-hate" thing? That's messed up. But it' shows that they've got messed up views. Its them. Not you.

They're the self-haters. They're racist. Who are they to tell you "a black person is supposed to be like this." They can fuck right off with that bullshit.

Because you probably get more respect among people of other cultures. Could be because you sound smarter, making better life choices. I've witnessed this tactic done to men, not women. But ignore them.

Social expectations are everywhere and I can't pretend to have any understanding of what it is like not being white. Tho I have other expectations put upon me (your old, you shouldn't go club, you shouldn't like sex, you should be mature, responsible, boring in your 40's).

When people say that to me I say why? And they can't say why. Other than "because your 45". I imagine if you say why your get "because your Black".

Well if these are people you care about (otherwise why even give them time of day) then say why do I need to be those things? I'm just me and I don't need to be anything to prove my skin colour. That's dumb. That's like something a white person would say. (Turns the "your acting white" back on them).
