Whats up with a woman's self destructive behavior?

So, I asked this girl if she could look after my house while I was away. Water flowers etc... she's been silent I went Sunday and no water for flowers nothing touched. I asked her if she wanted to talk and she just threw her self over the deepend how she felt bad because she was tied up with family matter helping the farm. She felt bad for not telling me that she could not help me and feels like she let me down etc... I explained it was okay, yet she still persisted... like she didn't want to listen to what I had to say, I already had forgiven her.. Like nothing I said could bring her back down to earth...

Now she's gone silent... I don't understand. I wasn't accusing her or anything... I am not like that. I don't yell, belittle, curse, or anything..

The question is: How much did you pay her for the services? Minimum wage or you simply thought she will do it for free and for your nice eyes?

If you confirmed that you would settle her work financially and she did not do anything, then there is indeed a problem. If you thought you can get away with it for nothing then you got what you paid for.

Now, as to her silent treatment, I do wonder if she is not on drugs or whether she simply forgot to take care of business as requested. The latter option is most likely the case and she feels bad about it. Best is to keep quiet and hope you forget.

Honestly this isn’t just a “woman” thing, it’s about her inability to say NO, confrontation and not wanting to deal with it. She’s simply a person who’s filled with guilt for agreeing to something she wasn’t able to do and not telling you.

Did she say she WOULD watch over your house and then she just dropped the ball? You never were clear if she agreed to do this.

If she did agree and just abandoned her word then why are you being such a nice guy, pushover wuss? "It's ok." Why is it ok? She let you down, showed she is not a person of her word and it is clear that this is someone to not keep close in your life.

Who is she? Why are you in a position where you are talking with her so much? Keep her distant. Keep truthful, honest, reliable people close to you.

You triggered a trauma response. Her reaction was the unhealthy coping mechanism she uses to deal with being triggered. She has to identify the triggers and the trauma that caused it. She will react that way until she heals that trauma.
