I often wonder why women show off their bodies in sexual ways.
Anonymous(18-24)10 moIt isn’t sexual unless you make it sexual though (as a woman).
Lingerie Catalog models get paid - Sexual , P*rn actresses get paid - Sexual , OnlyFans Model paid - Sexual.
Social Media - Depends , some do it explicitly for money and others do it to show off how good they look. Fitness influencers showcasing how much their bodies have changed and how proud they are of the journey which can inspire / empower though money comes from views which influences them to do the thing they want to engage in.
When it comes to the Gym or Jogging at the park , they wear less clothing since it is hot out / they are working up a sweat so don’t want to wear outfits that cover every single inch of their bodies.
Last point , I’ve seen people complain like “women wear revealing outfits to get attention” which is a bold claim which is correct in certain context. Going to the gym, no and stop whining because she woke up and chose the clothes she wants to wear, if you want to complain I gave you a list so go ahead. Everyday women living their life against what you want is just part of life , I’m sure a lot of women don’t like what you put on though they don’t shove it down your throat.
Last point wasn’t directed at anyone in particular , just to those that are really sensitive to explode over the little things when there are big issues in the world.

THIS WAS SO WELL DONE. I momentarily considered if you were a lady on a blue account, but either way, this is just thoroughly well done. Everything was clarified on and covered. So much truth and validity/ credibility to it.
It’s 100% true about us not having to be annoyed about people’s outfits when there are far more pressing matters in the world.
I can relate to it and support that claim cause I definitely have seen guys wear things offensive or gross in my pov. I’ve also been disturbed by their lack of hygiene made known through their level of body odor, but again- more pressing matters in the world. Even if it is mentioned, it doesn’t have to be mentioned so constantly.
Opinion Owner10 mo@Rosexøxø Thank you for saying it was well done , I get a lot from guys / gals that I’m a lady on a blue account though it is nice that have empathy / compassion to draw connections to the point people think I am when I’m not I’m actually @misterwack though am blocked for some reason.
And yes there are far more important issues than how a man or woman dresses , we should focus on those rather than make it a “ugh you women want attention” like shut up lmao.
You nailed it with “even if it is mentioned , it doesn’t have to be mentioned so constantly” I see it like 3 times a month on here and it is ridiculous. Focus on like pollution , worker rights , environment issues , our national parks or just something more important than “women who might be seeking attention”….

10 moDepends on the woman.
I'd reckon the vast majority do it for themselves. Their lives don't revolve around men. And when they DO want the attention of men it's usually just one specific man like their boyfriend/husband or crush or whatever.
In a hot and humid climate the context of this question changes significantly as well. Because wearing revealing clothing is the sensible thing to do in such a climate, for men as well actually, though on average men's clothes aren't designed to be as revealing.

Maybe some do… I only dress for myself and a man’s glance is the very last thing I want, as pretty as some women look there are just some things that will attract more attention and I usually prefer something that doesn’t and if anything I think about dressing modestly and as unrevealing as possible, I also live where it’s a bit colder. However it would be nice to live in a world where what you wear is not sexual… maybe a world without men… I would probably have more outfit options if this were the case. I can see some things are less modest, but some outfits on women look nice, but might cause someone to look in some ways… but I wouldn’t consider it sexual because to be fair I don’t think I go about my day thinking things are sexual/nonsexual when I look at people/people’s clothes.

I do agree with the principle. It would be very nice.

@BazookaTrouper I’m not a troll sir. It’s my honest opinion. Don’t be rude. 😒
10 moWell, honestly. Just being an average looking women in public with a positive demeanor will get you male attention. Clothing doesn't seem to matter to much. I've gotten more attention from guys when I'm in an oversized hoodie and leggings with no make up and my hair in a messy bun then when I'm in a small party dress and a full face of makeup. Guys are pretty simple I think.
When I dress, I pick what ever makes me feel the most confident. That often means showing more skin, but I do it for me.

I do know what men want.
Its just that men tend to be super arrogant.
If a man ever says that most men prefer tomboys. Its a clear indication he does not have a lot of male friends.
If he had plenty of male friends and a social life, he would know men prefer girly girls.
Fact is... most men on GAG don't have friends or social lives. - 10 mo
As for me, I grew up as a tomboy, men never really checked me out much. Until, I suddenly started wearing heels, thats when I started getting cat called, men start being more polite and courteous toward me.

go take at hollywood, do you see celebrities walk around in the red carpet in hoodies and jeans because they're sexier than a curve hugging dress and heels?
look at prostitutes, do they wear oversized hoodies, t shirts and jordan sneakers? or do they wear sexy heels, with fishnet stockings and garter belts with mini skirts?
go to the white house or even take a look at the reporters on news television, do women wear flat shoes or sky high heels? of course high heels

@AndrésC64
why do you think women wear makeup, wear dresses and heels when they go to weddings, special events, graduations?
is it because they want to look worse for photos?
maybe they would look nicer if they just not wear makeup, just show up in a hoodie and t shirt?
why do you think women take hours to dress up or get ready for dates? why wouldn't they just throw on their brother's hoodie?
why do you think so many women still endure wearing heels even though they're soo uncomfortable and painful? - 10 mo
Insightful answer overall.
You are the second woman on here who said that showing some skin gives you confidence. I never would have thought that. To me, confidence is more about knowing who you are and your bearing. It’s down deep like the ballast of a ship.
This seems like temporary leverage over men or manipulation. I am not trying to tear this down, just understand it. Thinking out loud this may explain why some older women seems so desperate as perhaps they are trying to rekindle that feeling… and then that seems to be the opposite of confidence. Interesting. Thanks. - 10 mo
As o think about this, I have gone to cocktail parties etc dressed well, looking extra good and sharp and I see the extra attention I get and the light in the eyes of the women along with their smiles. I get it. It’s fun and gives me a chuckle… but not confidence, I think the two are separate because if I need to dress up for confidence, I don’t really have confidence. But I get the feeling from such an experience and it is fun but short lived.

When you dress better, look more well groomed, people respect you more. Because it shows you respect yourself

not always... sometimes it's comfort, but there's no way around nature they are exposing themselves to draw the eyes they desperately need to meet their emotional needs and fulfillment.
otherwise, they are dead for all eternity.
00 Reply Generally the two main reasons women go around dressed like prostitutes are:
#1. To appeal to one specific man, with complete and utter disregard for the fact that it is a PBAoE attack and the splash damage hits everyone else around them too.
#2. Because they got indoctrinated with the idea that dressing like a whore is "looking good" and somehow mentally disconnect that from anything sexual despite sexuality being the entire root cause of it.
In either case, they tend to automatically slough off any sort of responsibility for the consequences of their choices and blame anyone and everyone else if things don't go according to plan.41 Reply331 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. Yes, they do. Think of it this way, do they dress like that when just staying home? Nope. They do it when going out in public for attention. If they claim it is comfortable or makes them feel good, it is obvious LIES. That is why they do it in public and not at home. It isn't surprising though, the majority of women lie constantly.

m 10 mo"I often wonder why women show off their bodies in sexual ways"
Do YOU WANT to like it, sexually, when they show off their bodies? Well, it's okay. But you also cannot know, by default, what a woman's intents really are. Unless one demonstrates she wants your sexually oriented attention.
00 ReplyWhy do men wear stylish fits, perfume, and do trim their hair and beard?
It’s partly for self image and comfort
But also in large part to attract attention.
Women are the same
They’re not doing it JUST to get your attention
But they absolutely do want the attention (within their own boundaries)
Men snd women aren’t identical but we’re not that fundamentally different either00 Reply
10 moDepends on the woman and what you define as revealing. But if it’s obviously revealing as well as looks super uncomfortable as well as inappropriate for the situation. Like wearing a bikini to the beach or pool…. Would be different.
Yes, maybe they’re looking for sex. Maybe they’re just wanting their ego boosted by getting male attention as well as female attention. Especially narcissists….
00 ReplyMost women I know have always said they "dress for themselves." Not to get attention from men, but to feel good about themselves.
I've known several that do it to get validation from other women, and/or make other women jealous, too.

Totally eliminated from girlfriend class. Fools get serious about such women. They deserve what they get.
00 Reply They do and don't. Attention from attractive guys sometimes, from unattractive or inappropriate guys never. The fact is (girls need to accept it) they are going to get attention from guys and ought to embrace it. Wanting it or not is immaterial, men will look (perceived look, glance, stare, gawp etc., is a you issue to deal with internally, get iver it).

20 Reply 750 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. They will say they don't, but I don't think that's really true. What would be the purpose of someone wearing revealing clothes if it's not to try to look good for other's eyes? Why would you even dress that way for yourself?
