How far are you willing to go to be the best?

Nothing unfair. I will use every legitimate resource at my disposal to win in a competitive space.

In an argument it's the same except I try not to argue with my friends and family. It's of course impossible not to but I can know I'm right and let things go for the sake of loving the people you're with.

Sometimes it's better to know when an argument is at a point of agreeing to disagree. I never cared about having to be right. I just want to get to as close to the truth as we can. So if I'm wrong I just thank the person for enlightening me. That would require real evidence and not just things that start with I feel or I think statements from another person.

Most people care too much to be right all the time and it's exhausting and childish. Nobody is perfect and all knowing. I just wish people would stop arguing with topics they don't fully understand. I'm talking about I heard one person say something that I think might be true, so now I don't have to do any work to ensure it is, because that's enough evidence for me. Also, headline readers... Did you hear that ABC is XYZ. I always ask so what did the article say? 90% don't know but claim to have enough to argue a point off it lol.

Yes, I will cross boundaries and live outside the normal moral constraints when it becomes necessary. It's a carefully chosen means to an end in answer to people who leave no other options.

I don't really care about being the best in anything because honestly... I'm not. I'm above average in some stuff... playing the piano by ear and remembering most melodies after listening to them once, geometric and spatial sense, athletics and body coordination, soccer keep ups, etc. But never the best at any of them.

I'm not competitive at all. I just want to be happy in life. And I'll never do anything that goes against my moral code to achieve what I want. I'll never take advantage of someone to get ahead in life. I'll always show kindness when I can.

For me, you can say I have too much pride to cheat in a competition. I see cheating as weak. If I’m going to win, I want to win because I’m objectively BETTER than my competition. It’s either I beat them fair and square or I lose and take the L. If I lose, then I lose. I’ll learn and get better. But playing dirty? No, not for me.

Most of what I’m involved in professionally are team efforts, so there is that. Maybe in some situations we were competing with other teams, so I liked to push our team a bit, but that’s pretty much it. 🤔
And when I do sports with a group, we run or bike as a group, at least that’s what it should be, in my opinion.

It depends what the competition is about. If I have to cheat, I’m not the best. If we’re playing a round of miniature golf. I might accidentally kick your ball the other way. 😈

An argument is much more serious and I would rather have a discussion where both people are honest. I’m okay with admitting I’m wrong, even when it hurts. Sometimes I prefer to be wrong because it solves the disagreement, but truth matters most.

I don't have the same issue as you there. I prefer doing my workouts alone. I find it strange when people are present. Especially when it comes to calisthenics. People always think you're trying to show off if you do it in front of them.
