I just got back from a little get together, my girl best friend of 10+years was also there.
She’s been single and me too.
Towards the end of the night we were sat alone and she was showing me her earring, making sure my head got close to hers.

Now nothing happened, but i just got home and she texted me: you could have kissed me, you know?

Now I randomly think about how she was taking breath mints all night and how she barely talked to other people.

Anyone have experience with this, because i think i might like her too but also our friendship is super deeply rooted. But I begin to question if it was truly ‘just friendly’

I used to have a very close female friend. We used to go out to the movies or go to concerts and other events. Every 4th of July we went to a specific beach. I had a girlfriend and she knew that. Still one day we went to an MLB game and afterwards we got in my car and she confessed that she wanted to be more than friends. I had no idea and I told her that I had a girlfriend. Afterwards she suddenly kissed me. It was so warm and soft and it took me by surprise. I was a little bit blown away.
In the days that followed I began to think that maybe it would be a good thing. My girlfirnd lived halfway across the country and I always had a lot more fun with my friend.
By the time I decided that maybe we should be together , she had changed her mind.
