Question for Girls: Does it means anything if you suddenly talk about having a baby with a guy, or is that something you bring up casually?

One of the new girls I’m seeing started talking about what we would name a boy or a girl. When I told her I want a boy, she just went with it and started talking about having a boy. I’ve only known this girl for two weeks.

Perhaps she wants children and is ready to become a Mom. Obviously it's on her mind - which is a good thing because there aren't an abundance of women these days that want children and especially don't want a boy! Those are the man haters I'm talking about.

She probably feels like you would make a good Daddy and so she brought the subject up. Now she knows and you know that if your relationship continues and you end up staying together, that someday you might have a child together and that's okay with both of you.

Forget that it's only been two weeks. So what! She just asked you to see what your opinion is about having children someday.

Wanting to become a Mom for some of us is something we crave with our whole mind and body. I would venture to say that a woman like that would more than likely be a good mother.

Don't laugh but my ex-husband and I talked about it right away and we got married 6 weeks later. We had our son during the 4th year of our marriage.

So you're probably wondering why he's my ex. When his enlistment was up in the U. S. Navy and he went into the world again, women were very attracted to him. He's very handsome and sweet. But he was tempted by these women at his job and he gave into their temptations and I divorced him.

I hope that I put your mind at ease a little bit that this girl/woman was curious and just asked you and was honest with her intentions.

Where is it written that a person can only talk about having children with someone after a certain time has passed and who is to judge how much time has to pass before they are allowed to ask questions about it?

That's crazy! My husband and I didn't mention kids until several months into our relationship. I briefly mentioned it because I wanted to know we both wanted kids. Once he brought up marriage, several months later, we had more discussions about children, as in "when". We both knew the "how" part 😂 Her bringing it up after two weeks of dating is strange. If she brings it up again, would you ask why she's talking about it?

Anyway, to answer your question, I would only have a conversation about children with a man to whom I’m in a committed relationship. Not someone I’ve only known for two weeks. I need to know if he’s financially stable, sane, and actually wants a family.

Sounds like someone who is going to move way too fast. She may be mentally planning a wedding already. You better be careful with that one, especially don't say anything about the future with her. She'll run with it. Talking about having kids is no joke. She's serious.
