Do you also love camping and pitching a tent during the holidays?

I've never specifically intentionally gone out on a backpacking trip during any holiday but I backpack and live out of a tent summer, spring, fall, and winter. Winter, holiday season in the US, has it's own challenges and rewards. There are no bugs or humidity to worry about in winter weather. And winter landscapes can be really quiet and beautiful with undisturbed snow cover. But cooking and hygiene in freezing temps can be annoying. And mobility can depend on snowshoes or cross country skis. And you'll almost certainly be carrying more weight, different tent, more clothing, more fuel for a stove.

a holiday is not to have to work.
camping is a lot of work.

I like the luxury of being in a comfortable hotel room.
wake up, get tea/codfee… go for a walk… that is vacation.

Honestly, I prefer the comforts of home. Sleeping on the ground with the insects, pooping in the woods and no shower is not my idea of a good time.

Yes, I do like it, but it doesn’t have to be during the holidays. Only does it? ‘How about if your husband helped me put the tent up and you can have your tent and I’ll have my tent do we have a deal?
