Why does he laugh loud when I'm near him?

Every time I'm near this dude he laughs REALLY loud. Him and his friends will be sitting somewhere near by (always) when I'm talking to someone, and I can hear him. Yeah, maybe there's something hilarious about me, I dunno, but why does he bother?

he wants your attention. guys are more obnoxious loud as are girls in front of friends. its just nerves and trying to get your attention cause we have more guts around friends
