Why do girls act often stuck up and hard to get when approached?

Actually the more shy a person is, the more they appear "stuck up" and get accused of thinking they are better than everyone else.

I know because I have had a revelation. I can be very shy at times and I am lucky I have met honest people. The desire to runaway because you feel Shy/uncomfortable appears as "I want to get away from you because I don't like you and I am better than you". It is really a strange twist and I would have never thought I appeared that way. But its true!

I have angered many ladies and made some get the sad face and I used to stand there perplexed thinking "what did I do?"

That is very true. Maybe even more so for girls. When I'm in an uncomfortable situate, I get shy and people apparently think I'm just stuck up. It's ironic that the absolute opposite is actually ture.

Because you are 19 and the women in your dating age range still think that not only are there a bunch of men out there who have 9 inch penises, 500 million dollar trust funds, chiseled looks with suave personalities and are hopeless romantics, but they think that when they find a man with all that criteria that they will have no problem getting him to love them.

Give them until their mid twenties before reality starts to hit them...after they start to sag and wrinkle a little bit and all the guys they've dated so far turned out to be either jerkoffs or bums

Some girls have been taught that this is the way to get a guy. Honestly, my best guy friends and my brother all tell me that I can't be easy to get, that a guy has to feel like he has to really fight to get me. It is kind of like the whole "you always want what you can't have" thing. Maybe not you, but some guys are just as guilty for this as girls. They are drawn to the struggle and fight and like the hard to get girls.

Some girls are honestly just stuck up and rude and not worth your time!

lol I get this all the time, I will ignore a guy on MSN or something and he start harrasing me saying I think I'm too good for him...when really I JUST DONT LIKE HIM OR WANT TO TALK TO HIM. I don't think I'm better then anyone I just am not interested.

so please get this straight if a girl is rude...she doesn't like you. Guys have clouded minds where that senerio just doesn't exsist...she must think she's too good or better..she can't possibley not want anything to do with me.

I agree with jayjay3. I think it's a defense mechanism. If she has self-esteem issues, your approach may feel like a major ego boost for her. It is lame, I know, but she might end up being a high maintenance girl. Not that she would want lots of stuff from you, but praise and attention and reassurance.

Maybe they don't like you. If a girl likes the guy who is approaching her she will usually warm up. She might be shy at first but if she gives you attitude she didn't like you. What do you say when you approach them?
