After months of hard work, countless hours of testing and a number of versions, I’m happy to announce that GirlsAskGuys finally has mobile apps for iOS and Android.

We focused our efforts into bringing a streamlined experience into smartphones so you can ask questions, add opinions and reply to other people wherever you are, on the go, on your coffee break from work or on your bed at night.

Even though you’ll see less there for now – there are no myTakes or private messaging – we’re pretty confident you’ll be able to do more with the beautiful user interface and the power of instant notifications everywhere.

The app forgets where it is if you start it from the launcher, or if you open a notification on the top. Writing an opinion, clicking a notification, BAM everything you wrote is erased and the question is no longer open, the app initializes from scratch. You guys should fix that.

Also you can't scroll up to the question while you're typing your opinion, which is quite a questionable design decision. I was surprised to see BACK button still preserves your post, but that's still not as convenient as just scrolling up.

Also the question feed just froze and never downloaded anything when pressing BACK from a notification

And when the notification was opening, I saw a lorem ipsum lol

Thanks for the feedback, man. We have already pushed a couple of hot fixes to deal with some of the issues.

I assume you're using Android. Which Android version and which device do you have? We can try to reproduce some of these issues if we have that information. Thanks. 👍

@CheerGirl38139 @Thisperson98 It is merely a difference in wording. We're still making tweaks to everything and will address that but it should still function the same way as the mobile and desktop versions. So even though it may say "Report," if you click that and select a reason, it will hide the post and you should see a confirmation message telling you that. :)

Nice. :) Sad that you guys never got back to me after asking me if I'd like to beta test it, would've been pretty cool.
Don't think I'll be downloading the app anytime soon, since my phone's storage is nearly full. Maybe I'll do if I ever upgrade to a phone with more space haha.

We really wanted to get your input before getting the app launched, but things ended up not working out that way for a number of reasons.

That said, we still intend to set up a Beta testing program for both the app and the website in the near future. 😉

I like the app so far, but after scrolling through my feed for so long, I finally just switch back to the browser so that I can specifically view certain topics like Sexual Behavior, Relationships, etc. The app doesn't have that yet but I hope a future update of it does.

Hi, @APValerius. Thanks for the feedback. You can access specific topics in the app. Just hit the "Filter" button on the top right corner of the Questions list screen and pick the topic or topics you want to see. ;)

We're looking into new features for the app, but our focus there is really on questions for now.

The filter content is a little confusing to tell what's off and what's on. I can't tell if having them all green means their on or if having them not green means they're on.

The profile page on the top part only shows half of the following word. So it seems extremely cramped and not organized well.

Then once you're done looking at your profile how do you go back to the main page?

Add an opinion isn't that obvious and I'm so used to seeing a box that says for you to write it there.

I dislike the fact that the app won't turn sideways with your cell phone. So you end up typing slower than you would having the full keyboard on the screen.

@LaurenGrace The main focus of the app is asking Questions and sharing Opinions. That was intentional, but of course we will keep tweaking it and making improvements. :)

The pleasure is all and always mine young lady :) - one more thing w/o meaning to sound like a complaint / suggestion box, I use an iPhone (6s Plus) as well now and the notification panel shows only 3 notifications and when now I logged into the GAG site through my laptop Chrome I see 12 ...

@HandsomeRaj Opinion likes is not a notification available in the app right now. And, were they opinion comments on your own opinion? If so, you should have been notified of those (unless the opinion was on a myTake and not a question since, as I said, myTakes aren't on the app so no content related to them will appear on the app).

The likes were for my opinions not My Takes. I am aware that messaging etc aren't yet available on the app. I am able to see it cause now I am on the laptop and have my phone next to me as well :)

I know the app is still in its infancy but I think it's too simplistic and limited to questions only so that's why I prefer the Internet browser right now, also please add night mode in it.. That would be a bomb feature like kaboom bomb type

I think it would be nice if you could choose the category you want to answer questions from like "Dating", "Sexual Behavior", "Girl's Behavior", "Guy's Behavior" and "Relationships" like you can do on the website instead of just scrolling through random questions that were asked.

Hi! You can select which topics you want to see questions from by filtering the page. If you're looking at the question feed, tap the filter icon in the top right corner which will open a new page and allow you to filter the question content. You can select as many or as few topics as you want and then tap the checkmark in the top right corner and the feed will automatically reset to show questions only from those topics (or other filtering criteria) that you selected. :)

We did not have any sexual content there when we were in the testing phases and trying to launch. Those topics will be added soon though. :)

I like ti so far - just annoyed about the no messaging. I have to switch tabs to my mobile browser if I want to reply to a message with someone! Also, the not showing profiles. However - I could live without the showing of full profiles, but the no messaging is wack. Hope you add that in soon, or come up with a separate messaging app perhaps.
