Intriguing... cool I suppose, though is it just a matter of personal accomplishment? Or are there any actual effects these have? Do they earn xper points or are they just kind of there? xD

Do they actually do anything for you though? You should maybe make it so you get some experience points when you earn a badge.

  A bonus of 100 or more XPer points for achieving a new badge would be a cool idea. :-P
  
  But some badges should be worth more than others. The "social butterfly" should be less of an XPer bonus than "helpful", because the social butterfly can be obtained by anyone who lives on GaG :-P

  You can see your own badges by visiting the "Badges" section of your profile. From that same page, you can see all the possible badges, as we explained above. The ones in grey are the ones you have not reached yet. And yes, you can view other users' badges from their profiles. :)
