What is the premise of GaG. To get someones insight on a topic or point of view on any related topic which this forum provides us. From A-Z you will get an topic on it, and opinion on it.

Then they are those who will attack your point of view because it does not follow THEIR narrative or what the narrative of the topic is.

There are a few people who cause rock the boat, who are discourteous, and who are just unbearable to deal with since its become a school yard bully, to cyber bullying tactics. Those who form alliances to down rate your opinions and mytakes.

This is a reason why I refuse to post anonymous. What I dont like about this is. even those who downrate, you can't see who it was, its just a downrate, no one has the guts to say anything, so they hide behind the anonymous, or downrate, just because they dont agree with you, your cliques, or the topic you are writing about

Simple solution to this. If it doesn't fit your narrative, ignore it, if it intrigues you, like and comment. No need for the hate, we got enough of that

I agree. If there are naysayers to one's "narrative" (as you put it), a short but on-point constructive criticism would be a more appropriate & appreciated response instead of trolling with insults that has moved the focus away from the original issue.

But there is a way to say things. There is a diffrence between "Blondes are unattractive to me" and "Blondes are stupid so I dont want a stupid partner"
Just an example of course, hair color has zero corroletion with intelligence but it seems like people here forgot how to say things like a decent human being

I don't think you can downrate anonymously.
You can see who downrated you because you get a notification that X thumbed up your opinion but when you go to the question, there's no thumb up but a thumbs down instead
Anyway, the downrates just express (disagreement with) someone's opinion like MyTakes and Opinions, what's the problem with that?

Well I do not agree that people who do not agree should just ignore it
It it is healthy to debate with those of different views it broadens the mind while debating only with those in agreement has some documented unhealthy effects
That being said it should be reasoned debate and not just infantile posturing no-one is served by that

All true, but we need to avoid the "echo box" effect. If your ideas are never challenged, you can't really say they've been tested... The trick is to only pay attention to the quality feedback.
