Some of those seem to be subjective (like number 2). But I would tend to agree.

-Doesn't care about what people thinks of him due to him being confident in himself.
-He isn't arrogant or cocksure.

I've also heard that he tends to be the center of attention though he doesn't try to be. He just is. His confidence radiates and he tends to make others feel insecure, but not on purpose.

Never met one. Would be awesome to. A lot of the guys claiming to be one aren't because, as number 7 states, an Alpha male wouldn't say he's an Alpha. Tends to come off as arrogant.

There's nothing wrong with being courageous, intelligent, tactful, carefree, hardworking, and respectful. But if a guy ever called himself an alpha male, I would laugh. Because I would see some macho puffer fish.

An alpha male is simply the individual in any given group or community with the highest rank at the moment. It's primarily about social skills and about being a natural leader, look and courage etc. doesn't matter much.

The confusion is properly based on alpha male are presumed to be the ones girls like, but that is really not the definition of alpha males.
