Why Most People Are Not Happy With The Way They Look Or "Turned Out"

Hey everyone, it's me, the guy who always posts Jimmy Page pictures with a take I thought I'd just throw out there.

In this take, I wanted to talk a bit about how everyone takes care of themselves appearance wise, why they do, and what it does to them in the long run.

The only experience I have with women on this subject is from my two older sisters (23 and 25 yrs) but hopefully I'm not too far off.

My own personality will come into this quite often because it's pretty much the top example. Many people fall victim to that "I'm ugly" or "I'll never be good looking" fad which is a hard hole to dig out of. Not to generalize too much, but the majority of the time, those that think those thoughts are people who tend to be very... how do I put it... open? They want to be liked, loved, not hated of course, but all those things for their personality AND their looks.

The reason that girls, and maybe guys, are so focused on their looks starting in god damn Middle School is because they get that image from their elders. They don't flourish into what they want to be, they became something others want to see.

I can admit I was a huge hater in middle school because of what happened to everyone with trying to be popular and everything, and even still in High School now, but I'm glad that I did, because I became something that I wanted to be.

In terms of looks, I looked up to those 70s rock guys who grew their hair long and played music from the soul (Picture of Jimmy Page iminent). I didn't care what people thought of me as a person because I didn't give a shit of who they were as a person. If him/her was too shallow to flow with the rest of the crowd and not even admit to it, I would not give much of my time to that person. Me and my friends had fun in our "childhood years" (quotations because I'm only 17 now) and didn't but much light on the popularity stuff or looks. Later on I began to care more about my image, I grew out my hair, and started to wear clothes that yelled "Me" (Nothing really special though) and that became who I am to this day, even though it may change in the near future.

Now here's a picture of my pal just because...

I'm not saying to completely let go of your self image and never brush your teeth, but build on yourself on what you view as fashionable, not what society tells you is. Your state of mind will thank you.
