Not all people are like this. Only people on her are like this. If the real world would be anything like this site portrays then women would be ruling the world and stepping on all men like they were bugs, every single person would be sleeping with any guy they encountered and the union called family would only be a concept found in history booka. But as we see reality isn't anything like that we have to conclude that the boys and some men on here are those who are being rejected for some reason in the real world and need to find release so they can't stop whining and criticizing all women

Not so! If you go on any other web site where these issues are openly discussed you'll see more and more guys bringing up these same issues.

FYI, we've seen the calculated destruction that mainstream feminism has brought down on gender relationship and on the family. The death of the American family has reduced the white birth rate in this country, and in Europe, to 1.3% per women. That figure is well below replacement levels and is actually a generational death spiral. Also, the abortion rate in the African American community is 70%. This is a self imposed racial extermination pact. So yes, mainstream feminism has stepped on enough men to create a situation where the family is dying and our birth rates are crashing. You go girl!

Who cares about that? Seriously are you a time traveler from 1930?
I'm not American. I don't care what happens to you Americans. People who have presidental candidates like trump who even gets supported by the likes of you, don't deserve anything better
And don't you get it? This site and any relationship forum was created for those who have problems not for those who don't. So naturally you will always see people whining on such forums.

      Dear Opinion Owner,

If you're not an American than don't tell me who we need as our next president. Obviously you don't understand the real issues, and FYI Trump actually does! You're the one who brought up the family situation in this country so I just gave you some facts to consider. Everything that I said in my last post is relevant to today's relationships and to the issues being discussed on this web site. If you can't handle the truth then that's your problem.

Every man knows another man who's life has been destroyed by a woman, most of the time it was their fathers life that was destroyed by their mother. Not even considering all the open hatred of men and the total lack of concern or even contempt for "men's issues" is it any wonder that millions of men are fed up and angry or afraid?

You know how feminists are so obsessed with women and girls self esteem? Yet they destroy mens self esteem? This is what happens when you systematically build up one gorup of people, any group of people while simultaneously destroying the psyche of the others. What intensifies it is that NOOnE is listening!

I am no phd student so I might be wrong here but I believe this fear is caused in part by the sensationalism and image obsession found in our western media today. the more image conscious you are - the more fearful you are - the more superficial you are - the more terrified you become of people not liking you. People with strong principles usually have no difficult being confident about who they are or what they believe.

This is probably an over generalization. But I feel like all the nice people just want to stay at home watching Netflix because the dating world is terrifying and confusing. So all that's left out in that big ocean are all the piranhas and sharks.
    Everyone should be scared.

Instead of blaming young men for the fear, ask why they are that way. Modern US women would often scare vampires back into their coffins, my man. While as a somewhat older man, I don't fear the fembots, I certainly don't give them the time of day, and it's no accident a lot of my single friends ONLY talk to Latinas or Asians, not that some of them haven't adopted the Trump tramp persona as they get assimilated into the dominant culture.

That fear is more complex than you think. Depending on their unique experiences they have come down to that reaction when it comes to girls, it's not a option it's a subconscious reaction which you can't change just through conscious effort but need to do it gradually by exposing yourself to that fear and with the right mindset.

The most common voice heard is often the most extreme voice presented. I feel most guys don't care about the effects of feminism on their lives, be they bad or otherwise.
Unfortunately, media has a tendency of amplifying the voice of the extreme minority and minimizing the voice of the moderate majority.

@nalaa In the case of guys who think certain women deserved to be raped for whatever reason - yeah, raping women (or men) is never okay under any circumstances. That probably doesn't address your question. Perhaps come up with a better example? Because I am never going to accept that rape can be okay.

      Might as well reply here.

Then what did you mean when you said "Asking for the imbalance of equality at work and submission at home offends our sense of fairness" because that's what all of those examples are. Examples of people wanting something to be the law, while wanting something different for their own private lives. And that doesn't make someone hypocrite in my opinion.
For example I'm all for abortions being legal, but I would never get one myself. How does that make me a hypocrite?

I agree that a lot of guys feel the way you described. That they feel somehow treated very unfairly even oppressed if women want equality in front of the law but still chivalry in dating. However I think those feeling are misguided and what the law and people do in their private should not be treated the same

@nalaa I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. If you believe in equality, you believe in it, in the workplace, in life, in dating. If you believe in it only when it works to your advantage that is the definition of a hypocrite.

It's not about wanting it when it works in your advantage it's about not pushing your personal preferences onto law. I think it's outrageous that you would suggest doing that is the only thing that doesn't make you a hypocrite, but whatever

@nalaa I guess in your mind white guys who own businesses should be able to do what they want with their personal property, then. Also, homeowners, don't cut your lawn, don't take out your trash... so what if the stench and filth affects others nearby and property values in the community? It's your personal stuff, you can do what you want. Forget about your neighbors and workers pushing their personal preferences into law. No need to hire women or minorities; it's YOUR business, do what you want?

"No need to hire women or minorities; it's YOUR business, do what you want?" No that's against the law. You should obviously follow the law. And some other basic rules of living together, just you know common courtesy
I don't really see what either has to do with me thinking it's ok to want equality in front of the law and want to be dominant/submissive in dating

@nalaa Sure, because it is all about what is best for you. Laws you don't like you would surely oppose, of course. You might even break them every now and then. Most of us do! Laws and the things we believe often don't match. In your case, the things you believe don't match the things you believe.

as a 26 year old male who has had 4 toxic relationships the fear is very real because it isn't always a conscience choice woman will make to legally castrate a man.. sometimes you do it socially and it isn't always just a case of hurt feelings often women will end up having a scarring affect on a man's reputation affecting his relationship with friends co-workers or family and unlike women men can't make the same excuses or any at all in order to mend the social stigma that will follow him so men have a very good reason to fear all women because even if you're not a threat to him personally the system that empowers you is so unless you want to organize for change in our behalf for our mutual benefit benefit than stop complaining.

this fear is partly rational. because the world has indeed become a fearsome place to be in. why? we have spiritually degenerated, got disconnected from Truth, and have put love in the freezer. humility and love will change the world. our kids should be raised like that and we should become the living example to show them how its done.

fear is justified. for both girls and boys. to overcome fear, you have to become a good human, and find another good human to live with. if we live with narcissism as our flag and no human values, we are in for a let down... .

As much as I've had some fucked up situations happen with women, I've never thought Im gonna give up or I can't though I do wonder what I'm doing on my end at times that causes me to fail, not in the short term but in the long term.

Having this all women are whores, bitches, etc attitude is destructive just as much as women saying all men are assholes, pigs, dicks, and the like.

Tis not vocative. Tis generally addressing the concept of any speaker rather than you as a speaker, Fathoms77, but it turns out this sentence is vocative.

As for this "flaming" nonsense what happened to growing a thick skin and being a calloused bear? Anyone who takes the meanderings of a website or forum rank with exaggeration and comes to a conclusion on the world seem, in my opinion oh so humble, to be functionally an idiot. You've simply committed the crime but did so in more than twenty words.

One who sees fear in a group of people who are openly afraid one does not have insights unknown into the depths of man. This was the funniest part for the record:

"I'm worried this is an accurate - albeit depressing - summary of how young men see the dating world."

You see, ( nypost.com/.../ ) actually there are fewer qualified males than females so what's really happening is the direct opposite. The men aren't like the men from "your age" twenty years ago at all.

      Reply
    • bcromartie
      bcromartie

If you really start looking at the situation logically you find that it isn't fear, it is a lack of qualification, as female humans like any other species do indeed have basic functionalities when dating. Dating someone is poor, unsuccessful and meandering through life isn't really a good plan, male or female, but females are a lot less tolerant of this.

Then you have problems with ratios and competition; you see now that there are fewer qualified men for the women and people tend to date within the same educational bracket ( www.cnn.com/.../ ) which has been a thing for well over half the time since you were yourself 20. This in turn suggests quite obviously that it isn't "fear" at all; it's literally educational attainment, social status, competition since dating is now a global competition in and of itself with nationwide options versus simply local ones and a myriad of other relative factors.

So much for "defeatism". If you're a college uneducated male you are literally underwhelming to about 66% of the population not correcting for the fact that if you make less no one is eagerly seeking you out which is only compounded by the fact that the socially strong males are (surprise!) capitalizing on their social strength and refusing to marry. Then you've got MGTOW and #killallmen and all sorts of sociopolitical elements thrown in with rabid hate between the two.

Fear is probably the LEAST of a man's modern worries.

It was a warning for flaming, as calling someone "idiot" is a clear violation of GaG policy, though as you're incapable of admitting you were wrong to do something, I'm sure it doesn't matter to you.
