I don't need to expect to hear anything. What I expect is for people to use their brains and to actually have a discussion.
The problem on this website is that every single question can be answered "Depends on the man/woman"...
People seem to forget that everyone is posting an opinion.
Then we need to deal with idiotic responses like "well that is your opinion". So I have to answer "of course it is, all the questions on this site are answered with peoples opinions. That is that whole point".
Princess, why do you create these posts? You know there will be like 50 guys responding with all kinds of hurt feelings, etc.
Though I have to admit with this one, you did generate some conversation with women.
It is just amazing. . . one little fifteen year old girl can get under the skin of men in their 30s and 40s.

Yeah, i've realized that. The first post I made was a bit confusing I'll admit but it was my first. The second was a bit ranty but this one wasn't I was calm. I don't know why they're so mad but whatever it's more exposure. It is sad that I, half the age of these guys can get under their skin so easily. I don't even try.

Oh, I did for my last post about women facing issues in society I mentioned men in the comments. I said how they face things but I would not be the best person to right about it because I may never have to deal with the same things they do. I'll keep the hat in mind if I decide to write another take.
Ohh I get it sorry for dealing with same negative oppinions on your takes, I wish you'd be appreciated more for the work you do.

Oh, i do it's suppose to have opinions. Just when you give your opinion it should be relevant to the topic discussed.

You frequently say that opinions should be voiced in their respective posts, but you not only complain about people questioning/antagonizing you, you forget a simple law of human nature: action produces reaction. You can't voice your opinion and not have people disagree or say stuff you find dumb. Embrace the chaos already. You'll be much happier.
It's not about disagreeing. It's about it being relevant to the topic. Like what you say is a respectful opinion. It's about the topic and you aren't name calling
If you make a post on this , or any other site , be prepared for opinions that you will NOT like !! You did come across as on the hostile side. One of the main reasons i use this site , is to get a female viewpoint , I fully admit I will NEVER fully understand women... as you rightly state , because I am not one. I have a daughter on the verge of adolescence , so female advice is very useful... I am also a majority custody single dad.
The hostile thing is an opinion but that's fine. I am fine with opinions but they should be about the post.
From arguments i've had with people men and women, young and old, passive aggressive or overt one thing is clear, if someone strays wildly away from the point and refuses to return to it, they have no leg to stand on and they know it. I have never had a to the point argument where a resolution or intelligent point was made by the opposition that contained slander or swearing directed at me.
Hmm perhaps a lot of men felt passionate about the topic you wrote about. I bet some people forget about the main issue you were focusing on in your MyTake. I feel like that happens a lot on here. Talking about something irrelevant and causing a big issue over it.
This may be a little off topic, but I think the gist is similar-I dislike when I post on a semi-popular question and male users try to lecture me in how I'm wrong but not the other guy users who basically said the same thing I did. If the opinion is wrong, shouldn't more than the women be 'corrected'

this site has a lot of negativity. you should think more about the audience before you write if positivity is something you care about getting. its super easy to predict which topics will stroke either the male or female egos or both
No matter what I write men get in their feelings. I've written about women and men comment getting mad that I'm not writing about them then when I do I'm making them look like monsters I can't win.

And women can pay half but I believe whoever invites the other should pay and guys won't give me special treatment. I'm not physically the most attractive for reasons I'm not going to get to. I'm actually going to write about that so stay tuned.

No one really has it better we all have things we have to go through. The point of that is that I can't minimize the things you go through because I may not have to deal with everything you will have to. That was the point. I could have phrased it better but I can't always get everything right the first time.
I'm not trying to be rude but perhaps some guy hurt you and now you are taking out all of your anger on every guy. Guys actually go through the same. I've already written similar posts to this but from a male's point of view.
No one hurt me I'm so tired of that being something that is sad. I'm sure they do never say they didn't I'm writing things about myself. I can't write about others and I'm not generalizing either.
I stopped reading as the myTake started veering into negative vibes, criticising other people for criticising you. When you do that, you pull attention away from the intended objective of your subject.
It's human nature to hit back when you are hit. A wise person once said, act as if you're unscathed by the criticisms your critics would be dumfounded.
I afraid if you don't want opinions you can actually set up your take like that at the start. People are always going to have their own views and the adult thing to do is to accept that and either ignore or debate them. Personally I find your views on men sexist.
Unfortunately, almost every guy on GaG thinks they are right and the expert on all things life. I just block those idiots and keep posting. Then you have the anon. shit talker. Gotta love them!
I do the same and I don't allow anons on my post. You shouldn't be saying what you're saying if you're not comfortable showing your name or your face.
I have to remember not to allow anons lol. Even the ones that aren't anons talk shit. I just block them also. I can't even count the number of times I have used the block button this week. My list is hella long.
I actually remember that post and commented on it in a nice way and then you explained it wasn't exactly what you meant but you explained it better then I got what you were saying and told you and then you said exactly. You seem to write pretty good to me though

I love your mytakes.. I think we may have hurt some feelings.. but that's okay because men expect us to handle criticism and being told what type of bodies they like and don't like which can hurt our feelings too cuz you're right we should love our bodies but it's hard when men tell us not too because it's not good enough for them. AND THEN when we voice our opinions about men they act all defensive saying we're wrong and calling us names and whatnot.

Sure the main idea was that there is nothing wrong with having an opinion. However, it should be related to the topic and it should actually make sense. Maybe re-read it without the bias or without getting in your feelings.

Yup. I can agree to that. But know that that opinion is not always welcome, so be prepared to fight for it, or not give a fk about it not being welcome.
I try to be grammatically correct, and usually ignore it if I see somebody else mis-spelling something. If somebody makes an issue of me not being grammatically correct, I'd tell them to suck my dangling participle.
The whole point of MyTake is to provide an arena for discussion. Many of the viewpoints raised during the discussion will be in disagreement with yours. That's not guys being rude, that's the whole point of posting a MyTake.
No, it is guys being rude. I get called names for an absolutely not reason. There is nothing wrong with not agreeing with my opinion. However, there is something wrong with getting annoyed and just being rude and not having an actual opinion but just being mad and wanting to attack me. If you say " I disagree because you didn't have any statics" We could build from that but saying " who hurt you? I'm tired of these man hating feminists blah blah blah". I cannot have a discussion with that because they're just mad.
Being called names is inappropriate. Use the report function. But disagreement is expected.
